Vehicle Detail
Hi ya watchers! This is the last week this vehicle will be listed on eBay. I've got a standing offer of $700 at a local salvage yard and if it doesn't sell this week, the salvage yard gets it. Buy it now and I'll throw in a free repair guide as well ?I value honesty so here's the details: Up for grabs is a 2001 Pontiac Montana 8 Passenger Minivan that was used as a kid hauler until it started having issues. This minivan has so much potential but needs a skilled mechanic to get it running well and looking good again. The Good:Seating for 8 Passengers (2 in front, 3 in middle row and 3 in back) Air Conditioning Good rear tires (lots of tread left) Suspension and undercarriage in decent shape (akin to a 11 year old vehicle) Shifts well (transmission good) Steers well (power steering) Stops well, but rear drum brakes are noisy (probably from sitting in the driveway for a month) Clear title The Bad:It It doesn't drive so well. Cylinder 2 has a misfire (confirmed by my mechanic via AutoEnginuity ODB scan tool) He mentioned replacing spark plugs, wires & the distributor cap, but all I heard was blah, blah, money, blah, money blah… and unfortunately I don't have the money to pay him to solve the problem. There is definitely an electrical problem in the wiring and/or computer that controls the interior of the vehicle, also confirmed by AutoEnginuity: Door locks are intermittent. They seem to un-lock just fine. However, when I hit the lock button they only lock sometimes. Power windows don't work. I figured it was a window switch… nope. Front passenger switch has now gone missing… Sliding Power right passenger door doesn't power slide (still opens though) Radio CD/Cassette player non-functional Interior lights behave strangely sometimes. Sometimes they work. Sometimes they don't. Rear left tail light functions strangely (see the end of the video for details) Interior is rough looking: 10 years of hauling destructive kids pretty much ruins everything Carpet stains everywhere Missing plastics (glove box, cup holder, CD holder, and more I'm sure) Cracked plastics Dirty Front tires need replaced (not much tread left) Noisy rear drum brakes (probably from sitting in the driveway for a month) Front windshield wipers don't retract. Rear wiper doesn't work. Cosmetically, it's not so pretty. There are nicks, dings, chips, key marks, paint flakes and paint bubbles all over. Plus, there's a thin 2" long scrape of red paint from a nice Jeep Commander that I "met" last year. Photos and video don't do this minivan justice. It's much worse that it appears. I'm 100% positive that it has even more unknown issues than the ones listed above. Frequently Asked Questions: Does it drive? YesDoes it drive well? NoDoes it have a warranty? NoWill you sell it for a pittance? Nope. But I will keep dropping the price until it sells. Will you deliver it? No, but you can come pick it up for FREE! Will you ship it? No, but you can arrange for a transportation provider to pick it up AFTER full payment is submitted. You're a sarcastic one aren't you. Yes. Yes I am ;-) Having a sense of humor when selling a minivan helps to alleviate the fact that I'm selling a minivan... Unless you're local to Indianapolis, I highly recommend hauling it away vs. driving it.If you buy this car, you can come pick it up whenever but it has to be gone by Nov 26th.Accepted Payment types:PayPalCash $$$
