Built in the Atlanta plant and with 65,745 original miles, the car comes with original "S" code 390 factory 4 bl , C-6 "Cruise-O-Matic" Transmission, F70x14 wide oval belted tires, power steering and smog equipped. The 390 has the correct date coded, heads, block, carb and transmission along with several other correct date coded parts. How many of these have you seen with all its smog equipment (see pic), hood insulator (see pic) and factory Ford exhaust (see pic of muffler). The rear seat belts are still even in factory plastic (see pic). This is a southern car that spent its life in GA, then to PA where one of the previous owners went over the body and stainless/chrome. All chrome/stainless has been polished or replated with the exception of the rear trunk stainless, rear eye brows and tail light rings. She sits on Firestone red line F70x14 wide ovals and the nips as I call them are still present on all 4, the spare is new with the sticker still attached. There are no leaks anywhere and the steering and suspension are tight. Brakes are good and she squats when you come to a stop, no pulling. The undercarriage is as clean as they come, no rust holes at all, not even a pin hole, she does have scale but a wire brush would take care of that. The body has no rot and no signs of filler, there are a few chips and scrapes but overall a above average paint job that shows extremely well. The interior is super nice down to the carpet, one small cracked in the dash pad that can easily be repaired, no tears in any seats or panels to include the headliner. The center console is not cracked but the lid is broken as every Torino you come across. All the weatherstripping has been changed on the car. The car does not have a factory tach but instead the clock option but it does have an old school working tach mounted above the floor shifter. The items that need repaired that I know of, tail lights cracked (have a set of OEM that go with), both side windows are off track and need resealed. At one point over its life someone had the car for sale and they scratched the pass side windows, you can see for sale in the glass, I have a set of OEM glass that goes with. I have the washer bottle but its not installed. In my eyes to make the car show quality, needs engine pulled/detailed along with the undercarriage detailed. If you need more pics let me know. This car is super nice and unmolested and these dont come around often and with an S code with all its factory equipment is even more rare. I also took pics of the tags and pics from the part number encylopedia for verification. There is no doubt this is a original date coded drivetrain, see for yourself. I did not find a buildsheet in the seats and I will not tear anything else a part to look either.
