There is a lot to go over on this jeep so I may forget something, any questions please call Judd @ 641-919-2103. Ok, this jeep has had all major components replaced, including: suspension, electrical, full motor overhaul with new camshaft, lifters, the whole nine yards. Brand new transmission, tires, all the guages and the dash plate have been replaced, ( I do have the original parts and dash, they are in good shape.) The steering column with all the switches are brand new, it handles nice ( as nice as can be expected with 33x12.5 tires!) I had a new cd player installed that is ipod ready +satillite radio ready. This jeep runs great, and rides that way too. In '97 the jeep had some other restoration done to it, it was lined on the interior with a spray in bed liner like rhino lining and it is still in good shape. The frame has been coated sometime in the past and is rust free as is the body. I purchased this jeep in Colorado from a guy who brought it up from Texas, he purchased it from Florida, no wonder it is so clean. I have a folder that has been passed along with all the receipts from the past owners and from my portion of the restoration. The paint is still the original, and the black paint along the bottom is NOT covering any rust damage, I think maybe there was some rock chips from the big tires or something but I cant tell, perhaps someone just thought it was cool. The paint isn't perfect though, its hard to see in the pictures or even standing 10 feet away but there are little bubbles or imperfections in the paint on the hood and there is a small dent on the hood, its in the pictures. But in all the jeep is in really good condition for being 28 years old. In addition to the hard top and doors there is also a full soft top w/ full soft doors, and I have safari doors w/ netting. The exaust system was replaced from the headers back, and I had them use a bigger diameter pipe and a straight flow muffler, its not loud but it has a nice sound to it. I also replaced the vacuum booster (brakes). All rubber components : belts, hoses, bushings, and seals have been replaced in the last year. This jeep also has shoulder strap seatbelts in the front as well as the rear seat. There is a full roll cage inside. There is approximately 6 to 7,000 miles on the new motor and transmission, and 137,000 mi on the jeep from factory. The heat works well, and I added a rear seat heater for the kids. It comes with a Ramsey 8,000lb winch that mounts in the front or the rear in seconds with electrical hookups in both places, (good luck getting stuck!). As for the interior it has tilt steering, and sliders on both seats, as well as a locking console and another lock box behind the rear seat. The new shock absorbers i put on are Skyjacker 8000 nitros, the sway bar stabilizer is a skyjacker 7000 hydro. Its scary to think that between myself and the previous owners there are over $20,000 worth of receipts in this folder. This jeep is lots of fun, I wouldn't hesitate to drive this jeep the 900 miles to our ranch in Colorado, it runs great. Any questions, just call. My reserve is reasonable.
