NO RESERVE!!! This 1950 Mercury Sedan was an amazing barn yard find! It was hotrodded in the late 1960's with a 1956 Buick Nailhead 322ci motor and is still all complete. The motor has been checked, and it should run fine. The oil still looks good, it has not been changed yet. The cylinders have been lubed and the motor turns over free by hand. I could see the top of each piston as they came up, and the pistons have little to no carbon build up and looks almost new internally! Install a fuel pump, rebuild the carb and starter and this motor should be running down the road again. The Buick 322ci Nailhead V8 has been adapted to the original Merc 3spd w/OD on the column, and does shift fine. The body is completely unmolested and still in the original paint (whats left of it). This '50 suicide door Merc would make one bad lowered and chopped top lead sled! All the glass is original and good except the passenger side rear quarter glass is cracked. Some of the glass does have the typical unlaminating issues. This car looks to be pretty rust free for its age. Floors are solid but it may need some of the rear trunk area repair depending on what you would like to do with the car. I think it just adds to the awesome patina on this car, its only original once! The wheels and tires shown in the pics are just being used as rollers because I only have two of the original wheels and caps. They will be included with the car as well as a box of extra parts found in the car when I vacuumed it out. The brakes look like they are in good shape (see Pics) and I believe the parking brake even works. I think the car was parked due to the brake master cylinder going out. It has been removed and is not included. Please email any questions before bidding. It is being sold with a bill of sale only, I can assist in getting the buyer a bonded title which is very simple. This car is being sold as-is due to its age. The buyer is responsible for shipping if needed, and I will do whatever I can to assist in the process. Thanks, Happy Bidding! Main Pics Interior Engine Pics Virtually no Carbon buildup on the tops of the pistons, they almost look new! This the the stamp on the passengerside head which decodes this motor to be a 1956 Buick 322ci VIN Tags Trunk and Floor Pans Saving this 1950 Merc !!! I havent even washed the car yet, just cleaned the windows and vacuumed it out. Its just waiting for its new buyer to get car back on the road again. Open Canvas ratrod sled or hotrod project!
