I have for sale a 66 Mustang that was restored about 12 years ago and has been kept inside since. Car was originally bought by a school teacher new and sold to a body repair man after about 36 years with original owner. car needed some body repair so 2nd owner put on some new rear quarter panels and had interior redone to new standards. Motor and transmission have never been worked on and with only 76k miles, it still doesn't need any mechanical work done. There has only been about 2000 miles put on car since 2002, 2nd owner restored car for his wife and she passed on only a year after car was done and thats why car has so few miles on it since. He didnt want to sell it after her passing so he held on to it till 2011 when I bought it. I was told I am the 3rd owner and I have no reason to not believe it as you look at it, you know why it is so clean and nearly as good as when it was restored There is only a couple small chips about size of pencil lead and some small hairline scratches that are barely visible when cleaned up. Paint was nicely done and white vinyl top added for a nice finish look. Interior is nearly perfect withnew carpet, seats redone and head liner replaced. Dash is also nearly perfect,no cracks and has a nice shine still. all gauges work and steering wheel was replaced ,otherwise interior would be nearly all original except for a mustang radio with cassette, that was added. Chrome and stainless trim is all very nice and seals and weatherstripping is very good. It has new exhaust system with duals out the back and front end was redone in 2011 with new alignment done. Power steering was added for 2nd owners wife ,otherwise the engine compartment is original except for a chrome air cleaner that was added. MOtor starts easily and runs smooth and tranny has no Problems that i know of.ONly thing car needs to be completed is a heater core installed and I have a new one for it which goes with the car when sold. YOu really cant see how clean this car is in the pics but if you buy it you will be amazed at the overal condition of it. Tires are older but have 85or 90 percent of tread left and are mounted on 68 or 69 torino or mach 1 wheels. Car will have a new battery installed before buyer picks it up as the current battery i put in is not the right one for it but was put in to drive it to my storage place as the other one went dead on me. Car is not perfect being 46 years old and there is no warranty but a very nice car to enjoy and take to car shows if you like to do that. It is one of a very few that has a bench seat with center armrest. I dont think you can find a nicer coupe for the money that runs nearly perfect and drives straight and true down the highway. I ve been on the phone with Ebay twice and cant get the problem solved. So you should be aware that the buy it now price was not listed and if you dont want to keep your bid on there, cancel your bid as if wont let me put a price on the auction format once it has bids on it. Car wont sell unless the bids get close to the buy it now price which I put on a relist. For you who haven't seen the relist ,it is listed as item 230881149979 and has a buy it now price of 10,950. For your info, look at the other listing. Sorry for the confusion, but the starting price was the only thing that came up and should have a buy it now price below that.
