1992 BMW 525IT wagon California rust free car with 5 speed conversion and engine conversion. The car started as a 1992 BMW 525i wagon rust free California car with 158K miles with automatic transmission. There was no stick shift BMW 525i wagon sold in United State. I wanted a stick shift wagon so I look and bought a 1995 BMW 525i stick shift that was damaged in rear. 1995 BMW 525i has a later style engine and a vanos (variable timing) engine. I did a complete transplant. I installed complete engine and wiring harness and computer from the 1995 BMW 525i. Installed 5 speed transmissions. Driveshaft Pedal assembly Shifter tower Installed lowering springs Bilstien sport front and rear shocks Alpina front spoiler 1991 BMW M5 limited slip 3:91 deferential New lower control arms Ellipsoid lights 17” BMW alpine look staggered wheels (17x8 in front and 17x9 rears) I like the look of the 1995 5 series front grill and hood so I had the hood repainted and the grille panel and installed it on the car. All the 5 series up to 94 have problem with the door panels bubbling and coming apart so I had all the door panels from 1995 installed on the car and all the wood for the dash. Prior to painting the hood and grill panel this car has never been painted or has never been in an accident. Because the car was converted from automatic to stick shift I had to use the instrument cluster from the 1995 which show 189K miles because when the original instrument cluster was on the car it keeps thinking it is an automatic and was showing transmission error. The car has a factory heated seats, AM/FM cassette with 6 CD changer, dual panel sunroof. Interior is in perfect shape exception to the headliner sagging in some areas. All the paint and panels are in perfect shape except small dent on the driver’s door and at the end of the roof pass the sunroof there is an area that paint is faded. This car runs and drives perfect, it handles like a sports car and it looks perfect. Car could use a good set of tires, tires have tread but they are from another car and they were worn unevenly. If you like BMW wagon you will love this car, it is not your typical wagon going to grocery store. YOU’RE ALTERNATIVE TO GAS GUSLING SUV. Since we are a California license dealer if the buyer is from California they have to pay us all the tax, registration fees, smog fee and documentation fee and we will do all the transfer and titling the car, if the buyer is from out of state they are responsible for all the transfer.
