1971 Plymouth Barracuda project car. Car is all original with one old repaint. This is a major project for someone with time to gradually work through the rust issues and put the car back together, or use for parts as it is very complete. Car runs and lot drives however the brakes do not work. It is a V-8 car with the full V-8 front suspension, 8-3/4" rear end, bucket seats and a console automatic. Wheels and tires are suitable for transporting the vehicle and will need to be replaced. As you can see in the photos, most body panels will require replacement, including inner front fenders, fenders, rocker panels, quarters, outer wheel wells, trunk floor and extensions, and the interior floor pans. The cowl, firewall, and door hinge areas are solid. All four frame rails have some rust issues. Left front frame will require replacement. Right front frame rail is swollen behind the bumper bracket and repairable. Left rear frame rail is rusted through at the very end where it attaches to the rear bumper support. Right rear frame rail is rusted out beneath the trunk floor. Torsion bar cross member is rusted out at both ends where it attaches to the back side of the rocker panel. Both torsion bar sockets are intact. I have a complete front frame rail assembly available to the winning bidder for $400 if interested. It was removed from a '71 Cuda resto-mod project and includes the torsion bar cross member, both front frame rails, cowl, firewall, inner fenders, and radiator support, all still welded together. I also have the complete floor pan from the same car that was removed by drilling out the spot welds for $200.
