Vehicle Detail
1939 Ford Standard Coupe project. All steel body that's pretty straight and solid. Will need a little rust repair along the bottom of doors/quarter panels area above the running boards and along the bottom of the trunk lid. The right rear fender is a little rough, but usable. The left rear fender has a patch panel welded in that needs finishing, but is in pretty good shape other than that. The hood, hood sides, grill and front fenders are in good shape (the right front fender has some dings below the headlight-see picture). The floor of the trunk is good and solid - only issue I see is a spot about the size of a softball to patch. The floors in the cabin area will need at least new forward pans (see pictures - the area behind the doors is repairable). I have a new tail pan that goes with the car. Other items included: new "green" tinted glass (unfortunately, one of the door pieces is cracked-all the other is good), most of the stainless trim including the hard-to-find trim for the grill, seat, windshield frame, window garnish moldings, headlight buckets with glass lenses and trim rings, speedometer & gauge cluster (speedometer will need some work; gauge cluster looks good, but condition unknown) and a pair of bumpers (they're straight, but are pitted on the back side and will need re-chromed). The frame's been updated with a Fatman Mustang II-style IFS and Ford 8-inch rear. A transmission mount for a Chevy 350/400 is also included. This is a really good package for someone wanting to build a very desirable 1939 Ford Coupe, but it's still a project. I've tried to describe to the best of my ability, and take enough pictures, for you to have a good feel for what you're looking at/bidding on. I bought this project a little over a year ago with the intentions of building it and keeping it for myself as I've always wanted a 1939 or 1940 Ford coupe. However, some things have changed and I need to sell it. My reserve is what I have in the project and is lower than a lot of other projects out there that are in worse shape. I do not have a title for the car, but will provide a bill of sale. If you have any questions, or need to see pictures of anything I have not included, please feel free to message me via eBay and I'll do my best to answer your questions. If you want to include your phone number, I'll be happy to call you to discuss. Here's a link to a "walk-around" video of the car: http://youtu.be/M9zww_y0Xzk It's listed as local pickup, but I'll work with a shipper should you elect to go that route. $500 deposit required within 5 days of auction's end via credit card or cashier's check unless other arrangements are made prior to the end of the auction. Balance to be paid in cash when you pick up the car unless other arrangements are made. I reserve the right to end this auction early, as it is also advertised locally.
