The body and interior are in very good shape for a 25-year old car. I cannot afford the maintenance anymore. Recently, my mechanic told me that the timing chain and muffler needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, I do not have the money to fix these items. This car would be great for someone who’s handy with a wrench and could fix up this well cared for car. In 2007 I repainted the car, put in a new sunroof, replaced the compressor and had some front end work done. There are other minor problems with the car that need to be addressed and they as follows: Radio does not work Hazard lights work but the on/off button needs to be replaced Alarm has been disabled Driver side door striker needs to be replace Fuel gauge is not working One of the rear windows on the back passenger door does not roll down Emergency brake spring level needs to be replaced Cruise control works intermittentlySmall scratch near wheel well Needs new tires Recent service: All fluids have been changed Replaced gaskets New spark plugs The car starts and runs pretty good. I’ve been driving it up until my mechanic told me about the timing chain. This car would also be good for a parts dealer, since much of the car is in great shape. The air conditioner blows cool air, the sunroof works smoothly, and the old Mercedes grille is in great shape if you want to part this vehicle out. If you intend to buy this vehicle, it needs to be towed to avoid the timing chain from jumping time and ruining the engine. This is all I can honestly tell you about this car. It was my father’s vehicle and I loved it. It’s time to let go. Again, I am selling it in “AS IS” CONDITION.
