Great 1982 Volkswagen truck, diesel engine runs strong 5sp manual . This has been my daily driver for 5 years. I will firs list all the good. GOOD: 12,000 miles ago, NEW, clutch, timing belt. Pump rebuilt . Has new tires on front and the backs only have about 3 or 4 thousand miles. NO RUST! That I have seen. BAD: Has a big dent in the left front fender and right lower rocker. And many small dents and scratches. Clock does not work, No head liner. A/C does not work but is all their, heater blows only on high and ware it wants to. Brake caliper bushings are out so they rattle ( been this way every since I have had it) I have noticed that when I turn very sharp lately that the axels click a little indicating C/V joints. The shift linkage loose making it difficult to find first gear ( Not for me). No head liner . Heat gauge not working. Driver seat belt latch broke. And many more things that I’m missing. The reason I’m selling it is I recently bought a full size with a service bed for my maintenance work. So just don’t need it. Very dependable never gives me any problems. Would drive any ware! But with that said the truck is 30 years old . If you chose to buy this and drive it across country this would be at your own risk.
