Buyer is responsible for setting up and paying for shipment/title transfer/taxes/any other fees incurred during the buying process. I've done my best to represent the vehicle here with the understanding that it is difficult for online buyers to sometimes view the vehicle before buying, but understand that it is difficult to represent every tiny little detail here. Car is garage kept, but now wife wants the garage back. I'm not willing to store this outside, so it should go to someone who can enjoy it! Car was completely taken apart and overhauled. The drivetrain was removed and completely rebuilt, upgraded, etc. Almost all rubber parts on car were replaced during rebuild. Body is completely rust free. All weather-stripping, glass seals, etc. have been replaced. This rebuild was not exactly a restoration; some parts were upgraded for comfort, safety, etc. The intent was to make a comfortable, dependable cruising vehicle that still had the exact look from the outside of a classic vehicle. This car is currently titled, registered, and insured in the state of PA as an antique vehicle. There is about 100 miles on the rebuild, but this will go up a little as I drive it occasionally so it doesn't collect too much dust. I don't know the original mileage, but the odometer read something like 80000 when I got it (for what it's worth), and it didn't look like a car with 180,000 miles on it. I was told it was a South Carolina car, but no way to verify that. _______________ Details that I kept putting off and never got around to doing because of a lack of time. Should be quick, easy, and cheap for someone who has the time. This is everything I know about. The horn does not work. Hazard flashers do not work.High beams worked until just recently. I took it out of the garage for a weekly spin around the block and noticed they don't work. Fuse? Paint/exterior is a little faded and may need some attention to bring it up to perfect quality. The body is not perfect (it's 40+ years old) but it is in good shape and there is no rust. A little dusty from sitting in the garage daily. _______________ Drivetrain: Engine rebuilt, runs great. Wonderful cruising engine. Starts right up and tuned great. Transmission is a C4 automatic currently using cable shifter. Seals, filters, fluids, and everything replaced for full service short of an entire rebuild. Body:All glass was removed and all weather-stripping and sealing replaced with new. Windshield is new unit. Glass mechanisms had bushings replaced as necessary and greased. Underside stripped and re-coated, new seam sealer applied, POR15 applied under red coating.Trunk stripped and re-coated inside and out with POR15 before primer/paint.Interior stripped and re-coated with POR15 before primer and paint.Engine compartment stripped and re-coated with POR15, then sprayed flat black to match factory spec.Four brand new Cooper tires. For easy fueling, I converted the gas cap to a brand new 1967 pop open hinged style so the cap would not bang against the paint/bumper during filling.Brakes completely overhauled, all parts either new or refurbished. These are 1965 hubcaps since that's what I had available. They are original '65's in good shape. All exterior trim, etc. is original not reproduction. Trunk: Compact, collapsible spare (space saver). Comes with bottle of compressed air for emergency inflation. All new vinyl mats.Metal plate installed between trunk and rear seat to seal off trunk compartment. Interior: (Please note that the interior pictures do not show the black seat covers) Auto-dimming Gentex rearview mirror with integrated Homelink garage door opener buttons.Leather seats with integrated shoulder harnesses (from a Chrysler Sebring convertible). Seats have brand new black leather covers fitted, but are white underneath. New gauge cluster with white-face, blue back-lit SpeedHut gauges with some G.P.S. functionality like compass, clock, etc.New black carpet, dashpad, door panels, ABS headliner, rear seatbelts, speakers, switches, steering wheel. Shifter was replaced with cable shifter from newer Lincoln in custom-built floor console. On Nov-05-12 at 15:42:15 PST, seller added the following information:Forgot to mention in description: Car has brand new alternator, just replaced last week because it was not charging properly. Car now charges and runs great. This is a modern 130 amp one-wire alternator with internal voltage regulator. Provides much more available power than original alternator for bright headlights, or a sound system if you want to add one.On Nov-05-12 at 16:25:53 PST, seller added the following information:Also looking back through my notes, I see that the heater box/passenger vent was completely taken apart and rebuilt with new pads/seals. At that time the heater core was also replaced with a new one. When the box was reinstalled, new defroster vents and a new defroster plenum were added/replaced.On Nov-05-12 at 16:54:01 PST, seller added the following information:Also not listed in the description above, these major parts were all totally replaced or rebuilt within the last year: -Gas tank cleaned/flushed and new rubber filler neck -Radiator and hoses -Battery -Rear spring bushings, replaced with more durable poly instead of rubber -Carburetor rebuilt with all new seals, fuel filters, etc. -rear window regulator rollers (windows taken apart and cleaned, re-greased, etc.)On Nov-06-12 at 16:11:32 PST, seller added the following information:I checked the title-- the car was titled in PA in 1995, before that in NC. So the previous owner's statement that it was a southern car seems to hold true in addition to the rust-free condition supporting it as well.On Nov-09-12 at 04:12:29 PST, seller added the following information:Please note: when I say the body is NOT in perfect shape it does NOT mean that the body is in PERFECT shape. This vehicle is 40+ years old. Also please note that there is currently no rust on the car. I do not know about the past history of the vehicle or the body other than that the metal is all there and solid. Do not place a bid expecting that the body is in absolute perfect condition after being 40+ years old and driven. I have done my best to represent the condition of the vehicle as it is, and this does not alter what the original description contains. I want to make it clear that the body is NOT perfect since that seems to have been the expectation of one bidder contrary to what was posted in the original description.
