This is my 71 914, I bought this car about 5 months in hopes of driving it daily, but after having to wait two months for the dmv inspector to come look at the car to register it in N.C because it had no tag at the time I ended up buying a different car and now need the money for school etc etc. When I bought the car it had been sitting for around a year, I work at a Porsche repair and race shop, so Ive seen many of these cars and took notice at how nice the chassis was and how dry the car was underneath, I drained the gas tank, change the fuel filter, all of the injectors, changed the oil and filter, did a under body inspection, checked the brakes, everything seemed A ok. So i cranked the car, and the motor turned right over at ease and ran beautifully. The car drives amazing for being a 1971 car. handles like its suppose to, extremely responsive brakes(stainless lines). Also has a nice smooth power band. The GOOD The car itself does not have a single rust hole, the stock battery tray is still intact and in good condition, the frame(unibody) is also rust free, small surface rust underneath in one or 2 spots but nothing that couldn't be brushed off. 930 turbo front tie rods stainless steel brake lines. 90% brake pads left KYB struts Interior other then one small rip and missing upper dash trim is in excellent condition 70-80% of tire tread Side shift transmission Fuel injection(great gas mileage) New window with sun blocking tint New fuel injectors and lines New fuel filter New battery 12 cd disc changer and stereo with head unit! Runs and drive amazing! The bad and the things I did not have time to fix Rust spots on body, Left and Right, right behind door handle are fairly rusted as pictures show, but wouldn't be hard to fix, Im assuming. Rusted trunk lid( But you will receive a rust free trunk lid with purchase) Small rust on body right under bottom right front wind shield Does not have a steering wheel center piece(one will come with the purchase of the car) Front hood is bent(You will receive a straight UNBENT hood with the purchase of the car) Rear turn signal does not work(assuming relay) Blower fan is not working, should be a simple fuse or electrical switch Paint is chipped around the windshield Does not have chrome trim around window installed but will come with all the pieces Unknown mileage Cracked driver side mirror needs rear view mirror Cracked left tail light comes with a new tail light small rip in top of drivers seat This is all I can think of and all that I am aware of on the at this point in time. Im pretty sure everything is covered though. Feel free to ask any question you have and I will be more then glad to answer it as soon as possible, and remember this car comes with center steering wheel piece, new front hood and trunk, new left rear tail light, chrome trim around front windshield. As much as I want to keep this car and daily drive it. Other things have came up. So my loss is your gain. Happy bidding!
