You are bidding on a 1964 Studebaker Daytona sedan. It is equipped with a 259 V8 and an automatic transmission, and some beginning restoration work appears to have been done to the car by a previous owner. The mileage shown is 49,786, but it is not known if this is accurate. It was built at Studebaker's Hamilton, Ontario, factory. The car runs and drives, and is being offered with NO RESERVE. Mechanical: As mentioned earlier, the car runs, drives and stops. The engine carries good oil presure - 30+lbs at cold idle - but needs a tune up. The choke is not working properly on the carburetor, and the engine smokes some when started. The transmission operates in forward and reverse ranges, but does leak a fair amount of fluid. Exterior: There is some rust in the rockers and other lower portions of the car, and the grille appears to have struck something. There are also some rust holes in the roof above the passenger front door. Paint is thin and missing in places. Some minor trauma is present on the driver's side door and rocker area. Brightwork is fair at best. Interior: Seats were recovered in non-authentic material. Door panels are in decent shape. Headliner has some holes (see pictures). Some rust holes are present at the front and rear door hinge pillars towards the floor. There is a curious shaped dent in the floor pan under the rear seat cushion - it appears to have come from underneath - how, I have no idea. Dash pad is in fair to decent condition. Other: Frame has a fair amount of rust scale, but is otherwise quite solid. Trunk floor needs repair, trunk lid lip shows rust coming through. Terms: Vehicle is sold as is, where is, with no warranty of any kind. Full payment due 72 hours after close of sale. Vehicle must be picked up with ten (10) days of close of auction.
