Vehicle Detail

2003 Chevrolet Avalanche 2 wheel drive SPECS: 5.3 Vortec gasoline V8, 285hp 4 speed automatic with OD REAR wheel drive with traction control 139,672 miles on the odometer Cloth interior Power drivers seat, power mirrors, power locks, power windows Dual zone a/c Tow package with electric trailer brake controller Cruise control, tilt wheel, AM/FM/CD stereo Thank you for visiting Maryland’s NUMBER ONE R.V. DEALER BECKLEY’S RV’S HAS BEEN NAMED #1 IN MARYLAND FOR THE 12TH YEAR IN A ROW, ACCORDING TO STATISTICAL SURVEYS, INC. DETAILS: RELIST. Please, like it says on my FAQ page...HAVE YOUR FINANCING IN PLACE BEFORE YOU BID!!This Avalanche is a nice truck. It’s got some miles on it, but don’t let that scare you – it runs great! The Vortec engine starts right up with no tics or noises or smoke, revs smoothly, the transmission shifts smoothly, the steering is tight, the brakes work great. It’s clean – I didn’t see any rust or dents – and the interior looks good too with no rips or tears that I could find. The worst part about the interior is one or two cigarette burns, but it does not smell bad at all. My guess is, it was smoked in a long time ago – I’m an ex-smoker and I’m pretty sensitive to nicotine, and this one has only the slightest whiff to it. All the power accessories seem to work – the a/c is nice and cold, the power windows/locks/seat work, it has automatic headlights (and all the outside lights work), fog lights, and a compass/thermometer built into the rear view mirror (and I’m guessing it auto-dims, because I don’t see the flipper on it). Outside looks nice – good paint, and again – no signs of rust or dents. The lower cladding could use a good shot of some of that “color-back” wax or some armor all, there are some spots that are fading a little but the plastic is in good shape. The tires are about 30% (I’d guess) – they have even tread, but I’d plan to replace them by spring if it were me. The worst part about the exterior – the tailgate handle is broken/missing. I didn’t want to poke at it with pliers or anything, so I don’t know if it can be opened. I don’t know if there’s a box of cash back there, or someones dirty laundry, or…anything at all. It’ll be like a Christmas present for the new owner – you just don’t know what you’ll find! (but there are no bad smells or anything – my guess is, it’s just an empty bed). The only aspect of this truck that I would be concerned about – and it’s not an immediate thing, I don’t think – is a noise in the rear end. It is making a pinion bearing noise, just a whining sound coming from the rear that goes up and down with road speed. I’ve raced cars over the years, and had rear ends that make more noise than this, race successfully all season long. But, it’s a noise, and it means something is going to need some adjustment or repair back there at some point. At this point, if you just turn the radio on (doesn’t even have to be loud), it covers the noise. Opening the window covers the noise. But in the name of honesty…we’re pointing it out. But that’s it – this is otherwise a really nice truck! It’s got good options, it’s all stock, there’s no body damage (unless you consider a broken plastic tailgate handle “body damage”), there’s no signs of rust or bodywork that we’ve been able to find…and it runs great. If you’re looking for a nice 6-passenger vehicle with a covered, locking truck bed for not a lot of money – here you go! Now, we’re selling this one as-is. I’ve checked it over, and driven it, and given you my best impressions on it. But since we’re not going to inspect it, that rules out Maryland buyers. Sorry! Anyone from outside the state of MD, though, place your bids and good luck! The only charge in addition to the winning bid will be $20 for a temp tag – no surprise fees at all. And this brings us to the important part of our auction – placing your bid. Click HERE to visit the FAQ page in my eBay store, so there isn’t any confusion or misunderstanding about our pricing / bidding / buying / payment policies. A sample of what’s on the FAQ page: - No, I don’t ship. You, or your shipper, need to pick up the item at our location (there is a shipping link, and a mapquest link, in the blue box below) - Yes, we finance – the link to a credit application is in the blue box below, if this unit qualifies for financing. - Yes, I issue temp tags to non-Maryland buyers, they cost $20 and are good for 60 days. - No, we don’t reveal our reserves; it’s just a policy we have (and it takes all the fun out of an auction anyway!) - Yes, we’re a full-service dealership. If you need hitchwork, send me your vehicle information and I can get you a price quote. - Yes, we must schedule your pickup. We’re a busy location, and I’m a one-man-show in eBay sales. Please, note my business hours below. - …and much, much more! Just click HERE to see it all! Ask any questions you might have, if they aren’t answered on that page. And, bid with confidence! If you like this one…place your bid, before someone else gets it! If one of my items ended early…you already missed out, because someone else bought it! (all our items are also for sale on our lot, so you’re not only competing with other bidders…you’re competing with walk-in buyers and 14 other salespeople. If you like it…BID ON IT so you don’t miss out!!) All my eBay units have a much lower price than full retail, because I pre-negotiate with my boss before I write the listing to get every discount dollar I can for my bidders. Typically our eBay units are sold as-is (unless I note otherwise in the auction), SO WE CAN SAVE YOU MONEY. The longer we have them here, the more work we’re going to do to them… we’ll end up with more time and money invested in them (my shop bills $120/hour)…and the prices will go up QUICKLY. So if you want to save some money (don’t we all?)…take advantage of the prices now, before we start putting money and time into the units and making them more expensive. If you have any other questions, check out the FAQ’s page in our eBay store. And if your question isn’t answered there, send me an email and I can get you the answer you need. EMAIL IS ALWAYS THE BEST WAY TO REACH ME, but if you’re the “phone type” you can call 800-296-6959. If I’m not at my desk, leave me a DETAILED voicemail (don’t say “I have a question, call me back”…ASK the question, so I can call back with an answer!), and I will call you back as soon as I can. Please note my department hours of Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm (Eastern time) . SHIPPING: I DO NOT HAVE A SHIPPING DEPARTMENT. I DO NOT SHIP. IF YOU NEED A SHIPPING QUOTE CLICK HERE I AM NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE YOU WITH A SHIPPING QUOTE, SORRY. The link above will take you to a shipping website, where you can enter your location and the item location, and it will give you multiple shipping estimates to choose from. All my items are located in Thurmont, Maryland, 21788 PLEASE NOTE: Any item being picked up by a shipper requires extensive postage / packaging / document prep work PRIOR to their pickup. Due to the expense involved, we will charge a $150 Documentation Fee to any deal that is not being picked up by the ultimate owner. If any expedited shipping (i.e. overnight documents, etc) is required, any additional charges will be the responsibility of the purchaser. Click HERE for more details. Along the same lines…unfortunately due to space restrictions, I CANNOT PROVIDE STORAGE FOR UNITS. Our lot is tight. We constantly have units coming in…and going out. I simply don’t have secure storage for units to stay here for weeks and weeks after the purchase. We have a seven-day payment policy; we like the units to be picked up when they are paid for. If you need storage for a unit, email me and I can provide a list of vendors in our area who DO store RV’s. But…we do not store them. Sorry! LINKS: Frequently Asked Questions?
