I bought this truck about a year ago and have no time to work on it with a 1 year old around the house... so it's time for it to move onto someone who can work on it. This is an early S11a, not a S11. Built in the Fall of 1961. Genuine LHD 7 seater safari station wagon with tropical roof,deluxe dished bonnet and 4 individual fold up jump seats. It is quite original, it still has the Solex carb on it. The engine is tight, I have never tried to free it up. it was parked for 30 years. Plan on rebuilding the engine, it has to come out anyway to free up the clutch. The chassis appears to only need the usual front and rear frame sections. Includes 10 wheels (4 with decent tires) including the originals and what looks like two complete sets of interior trim/seats. The body and roof are in great shape... the main reason I chose this one. It has had some repair work to the right side front wing, early in it's life, see the photo and the rough edge of bondo. The R/S rear has a dent. Included is a used and straight left side outer panel for the tub, which is even the correct color. Rear door appears to be quite good, both side doors need the usual lower channel repair and the right door top is gone, so plan on buying a pair. It also needs the usual bulkhead repairs, including the upper bulkhead corners. Mostly because there is one small hole and the metal has surface rust. Axles will need complete refurbishment, including resurfacing the swivel balls. There is a proceedure listed on a popular website how to do this at low cost. This has the early hubs with the potential to add grease fittings. The key for the ignition switch is missing, but a spare with key is included. The vehicle can be viewed locally, which I encourage.
