We have owned this car for a dozen years, and it has been 100% reliable and has saved us a ton of gas money. My husband, who has owned about 150 cars in his life, says the Ford Festiva is the best care ever made. He estimates he gets at least 40 mpg. with it. It has tons of zip, and is great for beating traffic, especially with the practically 360 visibility it provides. Although we are not good record keepers, this car has been well-maintained, and we recently installed a new windshield wiper motor. It also has a Pioneer CD player. Buy this car because you need a reliable gas-sipper that will fit in tiny spaces, but don't buy it for its looks. Look closely at the pictures, and you will see that the paint job is worn out and , and the interior shows its age. Also, my husband "installed" his glasses case on the dashboard. We are selling this because we need to downsize, and don't need it anymore. The car does seem to develop a bit of a hot engine smell when driven for long periods, but we have not investigated what this might causing this. This would make a great "beater car" or a great car for training young people how to drive a stick. Sold as is. Thanks for looking, and happy bidding! We drove it for four miles today, and the smell was evident. My husband says it smells like a muffler problem, but he is not a mechanic.
