boulderdawg store Greetings E-bayers, I'm selling this for a friend on the road looking for work. I'm a seller on the regular e-bay site. This is my first vehicle auction, though I have sold boats, campers & dump trailers on here, this is the first automotive vehicle. First off this is a great 2nd vehicle for winter driving so you can keep your newer vehicle in the garage more. My friend has owned it for aproximately for 2 years and it has been nothing but dependable. It has good tires, 2 with just 12,000 miles. The spare is full size brand new and I have an extra spare in top condition that I'll give to you. The battery is a new replacement on April 2011. It also has a plug in block heater for xtra cold weather. It has a low sounding tic, sounds like in the top end, it was that way when purchased from a dealer. That has never raised any issues, it does not burn any oil ! The interior heater works great. The A/C worked fine last summer. The exhaust is tight and very quite with the windows down you can hear a partridge tip toeing thru the woods. The pictures show it like it is, I didn't wash it, or buff it, or detail the interior. All that takes time and makes it cost more. If you take the time it should clean up pretty nice. Where it's located we are surrounded by gravel roads & clay trails, shiny bells & whistles just isn't priority here. Dependable starts, good gas mileage and 4 wheel drive are. The owner has never had the jeep stuck. But you can use the 4X4 with confidence. It's nice to have and has been handy when launching the boat on the small lakes with the 'rough' boatlandings. Works great bringing campers out to the woods, and hauling sleds & wheelers around. The rear end sat a bit low with the big boat so some air shocks were installed/they had to cut holes in the trunk floor to get at them, but thats' all patched up & under the carpet so you'd never know. O.K. now I want to point out some of the defects/ which are not bad for a 2000 from the rugged northland woods. The windshield is cracked/hard to see all of it in the pics/you can see it better looking in from the back end in one of the photos. Just got a rock hole in the passenger front turn signal lens, it is about the size of a quarter.(gravel roads again!). There's a dent above the front passenger wheel on the fender. The rear differential has a minor seep, from a bad gasket (recent) it has been kept checked and topped off if needed. The passenger window button doesn't raise or lower the window. But you can raise & lower it from the drivers side controls. The rest are typical dings & scratches and one piece of trim is missing.
