Vehicle Detail
MANUAL TRANSMISSION! NO RESERVE! This is a white 1979 Euro spec(grey market) Porsche 928. After I bought my first 928(The grey one in the last photo), I decided to buy another after I saw this one languishing in a neighbor's driveway. For years I would ride by his house on my bike and see this car covered by a tarp in his driveway. About four months after I bought my first 928, I saw it uncovered for the first time, and snapped it up for a song so I could restore it and use it as a kind of "beater porsche". However, the economy went downhill, and to make a long story short, I need to get rid of it so I can put the money into my '85. It was running when I parked it, but isn't now. The car has spark and turns over, but doesn't get fuel. The car has a bit of surface rust around the windows, but if you know Porsches from that era, they were all built with galvanized steel, so the structural integrity is fine--I've banged a number of spots with a screwdriver, and they're all good. One little dent from poor jacking under the drivers side quarter panel, and another bit of krinkled sheet metal under the passenger rear wheel arch. Other nits are missing mirror glass on passenger side(frame is intact), a passenger side window regulator, and drivers side outside door latch. Headlight mechanism works, and this has adjustable headlamps. This is a manual transmission 928, which if you know the car, is pretty rare, and really transforms the driving experience compared to automatic cars.
