Vehicle Detail
1950 Power Wagon, The Good: 230 flathead 6 cyl, starts right up, does not smoke, and runs smooth. NP420 non syncro trans shifts nice with twin stick transfer case, also operates smoothly. Driveline appears to be original to the truck Easy to care for camo paint job with minimal sufface rust on body. No through rust. Correct Braden MU2 winch works fine. All lights, wipers and heater working Dash is complete and not butchered, Glass is all intact and nothing cracked or broken Has been driven daily locally for the last two years. Prior to that was a west coast truck. Firestone 9.00X16 bias ply tires. One mounted spare and two unmounted spares. Extra parts include new oil filter, radiator hoses, thermostat and heater hose shut off valves. Pintle hitch. Battery shut-off switch. Warn hubs. The Not so good: Will need tires soon. Fronts are low on tread, but two unmounted spares can be used to swap them out. Doors do not have working latches, they stay closed by means of slide latches(see interior pics) Starter bendix sometimes spins out, but she always starts. Master cylinder needs to be rebuilt, truck stops, but you need to pump it a couple of times. VPW rebuild kit included. It has been a blast to drive, and we have had alot of fun with it. It pulls real strong, and has never gotten stuck. I have used the winch to pull other vehicles out, but never needed it for myself. A great candidate for restoration, or just get in and drive it. Please remember that this is a vehicle that is over 60 years old, so it has it's issues and quirks, and is not in perfect shape. I have tried to describe it as accurately as possible, so if you are local, you are welcome to stop by and check it out. Otherwise, please do not hesitate to ask questions, (except what the reserve is). The chain on the winch cable does not go with the truck. This truck does not have a title, but has a New York State Transferable Registration. Good Luck bidding and thank you for looking.
