hello! i had this squire for probably 6-7 years and cant seem to find time. it will be a fairly easy car to just make a driver or very deserving of a more complete restoration. i bought the car in louisville kentucky. the story is the car was to be restored, the motor removed for rebuild. the shop closed, and the engine was never retreived.thus, no 390 motor. the motor was very cleanly removed and all parts such as power steering, alternator, air brackets etc are still under the hood. there are no cut or dangling wires, everything is still there in very good shape, or is in the boxes of parts. the compressor is the only air item i see missing. the car was built in louisville. the odometer reads 29,000 and the title says 129,000. personally i dont see it.the undercarrige is as clean as any 66 i have seen.frame, floorboards etc are immaculate.see pics.the only rust out is the left dogleg and outer lower quarter. the passenger side has rust out in dogleg.the spare tire well is excellent. iam including the quarters pictured from an arizona squire if you want to do a top notch repair. there is extremley minor rust in the bottom of a couple doors. the tailgate is very good also. it is a power steering, power brake and factory air car. it is also a 9 passenger.the jumpseats are still excellent with factory seat belts. the rear seat is still super nice. the front also with minor tear on side only.still very nice door panels. needs carpet and headliner, dash pad as usual. the original tinted glass is still really nice all the way around.there is no wear on the brake or gas pedal. just not seeing that 129,000. but whatever. very nice stainless all over,very good rear bumper, front bumper could use plating. the original jack was in there. i have alot of parts from the other squire included plus some parts i bought. look at pics. i have detaled pics of rust areas for the truly interested. i dont know anything about the transmission. if you have a rusty galaxie with a good big block and trans, you are well on your way for little money.its better i let someone get to it. thanks! could possibly deliver the car within 300 miles of cleveland for 80 cents a mile, after full payment.
