2011 VW GOLF TDI, 13k miles like NEW! This is a GTD project. GTD It is offered in Europe as a GTI w TDI engine. I upgraded the front end to look like a GTI and upgraded the ECU software to GTD equivalent power levels. Engine: 2.0l 4 cyl turbo diesel common rail injection, stock 140hp 235torque; current stage 1.5 chip upgrade (Malone tunning): approx 180hp 300torque. There is quite a difference in the way it drives now besides stock. Engine runs much smoother on the entire rpm band with lots of torque coming from 1500rpm all the way to 4000rpm. Upgraded the air filter to flat panel K&N and flows better at hight rpm, all the way to 5000rpm. All this power comes with bigger savings at the pump. Avg mpg 37 daily, 45-48mpg hwy and freeway. With all the torque available at low rpm this car rockets through the gears effortlessly. Speeds over 100mph feels like you go 80mph on the older models. Transmission: 6 speed manual transmission w very long gearing: 80mph crusing at 2100rpm in 6th gear, hits 100mph before 3000rpm in just a few secs.
