Vehicle Detail
For your consideration is my 1999 BMW K1200LT, BMW's premier touring bike. 1200cc horizontally mounted 4 cyl AKA "the flying brick" gives quiet, seamless power. All of the bells and whistles. AM/FM/CD w/ 6 speakers, intercom, heated seats (front, rear and passenger backrest) and grips, electrically adjustable windshield, cruise control, power outlet for heated gear, on board computer, intercom system, CD player (there is the hookup for a 6 disk changer in the right saddle bag, or buy a DICE unit [$180] and hook your iPod/iPhone up to it and control it through your hand controls on the handlebar), HID headlight, PIAA driving lights, extra LED brake lights added, extra LED turn signals added, BMR shelf that has not had anything mounted to it, I was going to relocate the GPS there. Ton's of storage for any trip. 62K miles, runs and rides like new. Just had the oil changed and final drive fluid done. New braided stainless lines installed, brake and ABS system flushed and serviced 2 months ago. Both front and rear tire replaced last year. Zetchnik Vstream wind screen is about 1.5 years old and in excellent condition. The whip antenna has been removed and an amplified hidden antenna installed for a sleek look. There are also 2 RAM mounts, one cup holder and a GPS mount (set up for a 3.5" Garmin Nuvi 205/255/265 right now. GPS portion can be replaced with one to fit yours from RAM Mounts for around $12-15.) The paint is clean and glossy with only a few imperfections. There is a mark on the underside of the right saddlebag where it was dropped by the previous owner in his driveway (mot a moving wreck, just a sit down on the side) and some of the chrome on the saddle bag trim is beginning to peel as is typical of these bikes at this age. You could spend $100 each on the chrome, and have the bag cover bondoed and painted and have it perfect. However, it didn't affect how nicely the bike rode, and nobody ever seemed to notice. You will get plenty of compliments on this bike from all walks of life. If your wondering about storage, I went grocery shopping in it last night. 2 12 packs of beer, a 2 liter of coke, 4 bags of veggies, 3 packs of pork chops and a loaf of Italian bread. All in the saddle bags, and with room to spare. Enough said. Any questions please feel free to email me. avfdf22@aol.com More pictures available on request. I will assist in any way I can with shipping. If you are close enough I can do a one day trip I will deliver it to you for the cost of fuel. Any further would have to be discussed. If you are in town the bike is available for inspection. Thanks David
