This is a 1951 Model U.S. Army jeep in excellent condition. I do not know if the mileage is original. This is one the last of the flat fender jeeps. Introduced in 1950 at the beginning of the Korean war. Only 45,173 were made. Production ended in Sept of 1952. NO RUST! Has NDCC military tires, Has the Willys L4-134 “Go Devil” 60 HP engine which was the original for this Jeep. 6 Volt battery. Installed front seat belts. The drive train is in excellent operating condition. Drive it anywhere at 40 or 45 MPH. It can be flat towed. No trailer needed. The windshield wiper on the drivers side has a motor that operates the wiper. Had to install that because the State Safety Inspector mandated it. The passenger side wiper is original manual wiper. I now see that there is a bidder on your CJ2a. I am letting you know that what you have is not a M38, you have a civilian CJ2A. 2a's only saw production up to 1949. The only thing close to being M38 on your is the windshield but that is from a CJ3a, the base that the M38 was built on. I just don't want to see a fellow eBayer think they are getting something and turn out later to find out, out of ignorance, not to be the case. Let's be honest here.
