Vehicle Detail
For Auction: 2002 Jaguar X-Type 3.0 AWD with a silver exterior and black leather interior. This car has 106464 miles. It has the zero maintenance Automatic Transmission. Overall, the car is a very sharp. Winter is coming and the AWD works very well. The heated seats are nice as well as the moon roof. The 3.0L engine is much more sporty than the 2.5L and much more desirable. According to KBB.Com, in good condition, it is worth about $5000. I included a link below. It is being sold as is and I have listed the known defects. The date on the camera is screwed up as I took these pictures recently. Email me if you are interested. There are a couple of dings and one fender has some surface rust. There is a crack in the windshield. I put a new battery in it. There is cover in the front to hide the headlight adjustment that is missing. The trunk has a dent on its lid that is starting to rust. I recently replaced the water pump as I believe it was going bad for some time. The only other issue that I know of the car that I have been chasing for a while is the rear catalytic converter is partially plugged. It manifests itself as codes that are: Random Misfires, Random Misfire on Cylinder #1, #3 and #5. Under heavy load, the car hesitates due to it being partially clogged. The Jaguar forum suggests using a catalytic converter cleaner to clear this issue but I am hesitant to put it in the gas tank. I believe it needs to be cleaned or replaced as the design allows garbage to collect in them to become plugged. It is a bear to get to so I have decided to sell with this known issue. Maybe the cleaner will work. I began taking out the converter so it now has an exhaust leak (was not there prior to me trying to fix this car). When it was last titled, the DMV recorded the wrong mileage so now the title states "NOT THE ACTUAL MILEAGE". The mileage listed is correct. Continental US bidders only and I will assist with shipping if necessary. Until the convertor is fixed, I would not drive it (tow or trailer). It is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. http://www.kbb.com/jaguar/x-type/2002-jaguar-x-type/30l-sedan-4d/?vehicleid=4245&intent=trade-in-sell&mileage=106465&category=sedan&options=164983%7ctrue&pricetype=private-party
