Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1987 Chevy El Camino. It has the rare Choo Choo Customs package. This is an 87 so it's the last year they made the El Camino. It became a classic this year (25 yrs. old) It runs and drives but needs work. Mainly needs wiring gone through but was driven daily before it was parked a few months ago. Has a strong 305 v8 that sounds good. Has the more desireable 700R trans. Has aluminum wheels but the pass. rear wheel is currently a spare. The interior is in great shape. Small tear in the drivers seat in the usual spot. DASH HAS NO CRACKS! Center console is currently removed but is with it. All glass is good with no cracks. Also has custom bed cover which has protected the bed so there is no rust in the typical spots. Original color is black. The body is in gray primer and is pretty decent. Has a dent on the drivers rear quarter and the passenger front fender but should be an easy fix. This is a nice running car that needs some work. Nice thing is that you can drive it and enjoy it while you fix it up. It's located in Liberty Township, Ohio. I have a clear Ohio title in my name. Email me with any questions. $500 deposit due within 48hrs of auction ending. Balance due within 7 days.On Sep-23-12 at 14:23:24 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a lot of inquiries regarding the El Camino. I just posted a picture of the ChooChoo Customs tag that is in the door-jam. I also posted a picture of the center console. Now to answer some of the questions I have received. The interior color is gray. The issues with the wiring is mainly in the gauges. It starts, runs, drives and stops. Most of the gauges don't work. There are some wires hanging down from the dash. I do not know what wiring is affected. I purchased this car how you see it. I do not know if it has bondo or has been wrecked. I do not have the 4th aluminum wheel for it. The previous owner said the wheel was cracked and scrapped. I originally bought the El Camino to just use the chassis and drivetrain for another project. I went another direction with that project so I don't need the El Camino now. On Sep-24-12 at 08:45:09 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had lots of requests for pics of rust spots and pics of underneath the car. I got it up on a lift and took some pics of the floors and frame. Everything looked solid from what I could tell. There is some bubbling in some spots and I took a picture of every spot I could find.
