Selling a beautiful and fast 2001 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 . It's just too scary fast for me and the riding position is too hard; having some old shoulder and arm injuries. Mileage is a little over 26,000, bodywork and paint are excellent for an 01 model. There is one item needing attention; fork seals leak, but new ones go with the sale. There are also a few flaws; the old battery leaked causing a stain on the left side swingarm, and there is a small tear in the back seat. There are a few small scratches on the edge of the pipe and footpeg, and on the left side of the tank, but too small to see in the pics. Better news is that the bike has a clean MN title, starts, runs, shifts like new. Handles great and has lots of torque for a sportbike. Has many expensive options: braided front brake lines, Sportech windscreen, Vortex rear sets, tire hugger and fender eliminator with LED lights. Recessed front turn signals. Brand new Dunlop 616's with the tits still on. Definately the best handling bike I've ever had (these new Dunlops are awesome) and the ride is smooth on good roads, power is insane and as mentioned, you can just roll it on, unlike a 600 or 750. If you are tired of having to rev your engine at every stop sign/light, and want much more usable power plus more speed than any 600, this would be the bike for you!
