this 1980 Mercedes 450 SL is in good shape. It is a driver vehicle that needs some minor fixes but runs strong and shifts well.
Exterior
The exterior of the Mercedes is in good shape. It has a couple of small dents and paint chips, one dent being on the driver's door, one behind the passsenger door and one small one on the hood. The paint looks to possibly have been redone sometime before the current owner bought the vehicle. The right front fender looks to be slightly more faded or possibly had been painted at a different time. It has a decent shine to it but could use a good detailing. The hartop is in good shape and all the mounts secure well. The convertible top however is in need of replacement. It has several tears in the fabric and the plastic windows are brittle and have cracked which you can see in the pictures. All of the glass in is good condition. All the lenses are intact and complete.
Interior
The interior of this Mercedes is clean. The seats are in good condition and the leather is a little worn but does not have any rips or tears. the carpet is clean and in good conditon. The dash board is nice and complete and does not have any cracks in it.
Mechanical
Mechanically this Mercedes runs and drives good. It shifts through all the gears correctly and there aren't any excess vibrations or nioses. It has air conditioning but does not blow cold. The blower motor works fine though so we are not sure what the problem is. All of the lights work, although there is something wrong with the flasher possibly becasue sometimes the blinkers or emergency flashers will not work and you just hear a buzz from under the dash. the hardtop comes off with minimal effort.
