This meticulously maintained 2003 Jaguar XK8 convertible comes in the highly desireable British Racing Green (BRG) finish with champaign/tan interior and burled walnut dashboard. This two-owner car has been garage-kept and has been babied, handwashed and waxed, and drives like it is brand new. The 2003 model is the best year to buy becasue 1) it is the first model year to feature the powerful 295HP 4.2L engine with ZF 6 speed automatic transmission that is so smooth you will never hear it shift and 2) you will get this car for 1000's less than a 2004-2006, but it is basically in the same condition because of the low mileage. The interior of this car is very clean, you will barely know you are driving a used car. The leather convertable top boot (cover) is in great shape, and has always been used when the top was down. All leather in the car was cleaned and conditioned regularly with Armor-All products. The nylon case for the top boot is in the trunk. A front license plate was never installed, so the front nose cone is in perfect shape. This car has never had body work, and the green lacquer finish buffs to a mirror every time. The engine has been well maintained, with an oil change every 3,500 miles with Mobile 1, radiator flushes every 4 years, new front brake pads, and low mileage Michelin Sport A75s 245/45/18 front and 255/24/18 rear tires with road hazard warantee still in effect (Mr Tire). Included with the car are three keys: two regular black keys and one green valet key, and two working remotes, the original manuals for the car, and extra floor mats purchased when the car was new. If you are buying in Maryland, I will include the price of the inspection with the winning bid. Jaguar made the perfect convertible with this car. You can drive it with almost no wind buffeting up to 60-65 miles per hour. It is smooth when you want it to be, and sporty when you want it to be. The early traction control on this car works well - and you barely know you are driving a rear-wheeled drive vehicle, even with all of that power. ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS: I only have a few maintenance records. I have done most of the maintenance myself, and it has been on a regular basis. It has been well maintained, and unfortunately, the only thing I can give you to back that up is my word. I've never had any real problems with the car, so there has not been much to do. The oil was changed around every 3500 miles, the radiator drained and flushed twice since I've owned it, the front brake pads were just recently changed, the tires were changed a year or two ago, but with not many miles since, etc. I took it into the dealer to have the software on the transmission upgraded - Jag had a bulletin out on it. I have kept the paint, top, and seats in good condition as well. You won't find any problems with this car. It has been highly reliable for me for quite a few years. The only reason I am giving it up is because we had a baby, and it is now completely impractical for me. I won't be able to use it for another 10 years at least, and someone else should enjoy it instead. I had never intended on selling it, so I didn't see the need to keep the records. Me and my boy will build a car when he is 13 instead (if he wants to). I am the second owner - I bought it from an older lady who had it as a third or fourth car - she had a lot of money and sold it to me for a good deal. She put 4000 miles on it in 4 years, I have put on the remainder. She owned the local grocery store (Safeway), and was selling everything to go into full retirement. Yes, lucky me. There have been two 'touch-ups' on the paint. One was for a scratch on the pasenger door from a garage incident - something dropped off of the shelf. The other was when a girl scratched my rear bumper with her Kia at less than 5 mph. It killed me because I saw her on her cell phone, screeching to a halt behind me and there was nothing I could do about it. Both were professionally repaired, one shows up on the auto check. Because the paint is a green lacquer, there is no metal flaking, no directional concerns when painting, so both of the touch ups are local to the scratch and are perfect matches. I challenge you to find them if I hadn't told you about them. Unfortunately, I did not keep the pictures of either scratch. No body work was done for either. The interior is in great shape. There are some wrinkles in leather in the passenger door in the middle - these predate me owning the car and have not gotten any worse - again, if I didn't mention it, I don't think anyone would notice. The title is completely clear - I'm not sure why the Auto Check even has something on it. I'm not a big fan of Auto Check at all since they publish incorrect, incomplete information and give you no method of recourse. The car is available for inspection and a test drive if you are a serious buyer. Please do not try to low-ball me or bid outside of ebay. I know what the car is worth, and I'm making it available for below that price. It is a beauty, so don't miss out on the opportunity. The top color is tan, a little darker than the interior, it is in good shape both cosmetically and functionally. I normally keep it up when it is in the garage. It does not leak, and goes up and down with no problem, as good as it did the day it came out of the showroom. The hydraulic lines for the top are relatively new.
