Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Up for bid is a 2005 Mazdaspeed MX-5. I purchased this vehicle to take out on weekends and drive up to the mountains. Meticulous maintenance and care has been followed (Mobil 1 oil changes every 3000 miles and at 50,000 miles diff and trans fluids were changed according to factory requirements, Always garaged). It has been a hard decision to let it go because of how much fun this car is, but due to the amount of cars I currently own and recent medical bills, I have to let it go. It is time to reduce on our number of projects and let someone else enjoy this car. The interior of this car is in nearly perfect condition. The seats are in excellent shape (no tears), same goes to all the panels, all electronics on the car work. The vehicle currently has a AUX mod where you can hook up an MP3/Ipod via a cable on the center pocket. Everything on the dashboard works. The car has cold A/C. The car is equipped with the Little enchilada package from Flying Miata. This includes: Intake, blow off valve, boost controller, downpipe, exhaust, muffler, elbow and Intercooler. In addition, I installed an Autometer boost gauge and a PLX wideband. These are mounted in the driver’s pillar. The car is currently running about 9 PSI (set by Flying miata’s recommendations) and it has never run passed that. It also has a bullfrog roll bar bolted to the frame of the car. It is rated to be able to hold the car’s weight in the event of a roll over. Finally the car has a hardtop. The paint job is not the best, but it still matches the rest of the car (see pictures). The hardtop does not have the defroster or extra insulation, which makes it the lightest hardtop produced for the Miata. Due to its age, the seals are starting to show wear but still hold pretty well. Included with the purchase are all the factory components that were taken off when the Flying Miata package was installed. The clutch was replaced when the pilot bearing went bad (~45,000 miles). I still have the factory clutch which shows how the car was driven. Finally, the car has four BF Goodrich’s G-forces with plenty of life (on the car for less than 6 months). The frame body is absolutely straight. The soft top is in great shape and it holds to the elements quite well (no leaks). The previous owner curved three of the wheels, there are some scratches on them (see pics). There is one 8-10” scratch on the passenger rear quarter panel and the bumper is starting to fade a bit in one particular area (please see pics). Also, on the passenger side, the paint has rubbed off the roll bar, due to the side latch of the hardtop contacting it (it is a very tight squeeze with the hardtop). Finally, the seatbelts do not retract due to the installation of the roll bar, they still function perfectly and this is expected after the installation of the roll bar. I also have a pulley system to remove the hardtop and store in the garage, it will be included in the sale. This vehicle is sold as is, however I can assure you will not be disappointed. This vehicle has been well taken care off. Vehicle is located in Lexington, SC. Clean title in hand. Buyer is responsible for pick up of the vehicle. If you have any questions or would like to come and take a look/drive feel free to ask! On Sep-02-12 at 08:26:55 PDT, seller added the following information:To clarify on the type of clutch installed on the car. It is a flying miata Level 1 clutch. Which retains a similar to stock (light) pedal feel but it is capable of 318 ft/lbs of torque.
