***1958 CHEVY IMPALA CALIF CAR NO RUST RIO RED 348 PS PB*** ***348 V-8 ENGINE***RUNS AND DRIVES EXCELLENT*** ***COMPLETELY RESTORED*** ***AUTOMATIC***POWER STEERING***POWER BRAKES*** ***BUIILT IN CALIFORNIA***NEVER RUSTED*** This is a 1958 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe two door hardtop that has been completely restored. The car has Rio Red paint with a white top accented with wide white walls and spinner hub caps. It has red interior with white piping on the seat covers. The paint, chrome and trim are show quality. The owner passed away 3 years ago and his widow asked me to list the car. The car was purchased 12 years ago and it was a completely restored California solid, no rust ever vehicle. About 8 years ago the engine was completely rebuilt. New Coker Classic tires and an AM/FM/Cassette stereo were added. The dash was not cut for the stereo and it even uses the original knobs. This car drives and runs great. It is easy to drive with automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes. The engine is a 250 horsepower 348 V-8. The cowl tag indicates the car was originally blue but there is no where you can find any blue paint on the car. This is a super nice solid car that the owner wishes to sell and move on with her life. Email any questions you have about this car. If you wish to inspect it just email me. This car has the one piece California bumpers. It was built in Los Angeles. It has dual exhaust under the bumper. Body and paint are excellent. Chrome and trim are excellent. This is a nice solid never rusted car. This is one sharp vehicle. It's a real eye catcher - Rio Red with White top Grill is in excellent condition Taillights, trim and rear bumper are excellent. Interior looks great - it was redone by a pro shop The owners did not like the original style upholstery so they had it redone in red with white piping. Seats are comfy. Note how clean the door jam area is. Beautiful! Interior chrome is excellent Back seat Impala trim Gauges are easy to read - odometer says 18,426 It has speakers in the kick panels, note how nice it is under the dash AM/FM/Cassette stereo uses original knobs, car has tissue dispenser under dash Glove box and kick panel speaker Impala floor mats Dome lights work - this is the driver side - note reflections from the trim and paint Passenger side Passenger door panel Driver door panel Owner says car drives smooth, feels like it floats down the road Engine fires up and runs smooth; it was rebuilt about 8 years ago. Engine is a 348 V-8 with four barrel carburetor. Factory rated at 250 horsepower Engine and compartment are clean. Power brakes, power steering and generator It has a fan shroud and an overflow bottle for the radiator You can tell by the radiator car hasn't been driven much Very clean engine Air cleaner sticker Note hot air choke tube and exhaust manifold - sharp engine compartment Underside of the hood Trunk opens and closes properly and is clean. Underside of trunk lid I'm not sure if this is original; it has yellowed It's clean Note cover on spare Driver side of the trunk Jute padding under mat VIN is F58L-152164 - the L is for Los Angeles where the car was built Style is 58-1847 which is a 1958 Impala Sport Coupe two door hardtop Body No VN - VN is for Los Angeles where the car was built Trim 822 which is blue and gray Paint 912A which is blue, apparently whoever restored this car decided to change the color. That white mark is a cobweb; car isn't driven much. Grill - very sharp! Chrome is excellent. Bow-tie and trim - note reflection, glossy paint Hood opens and shuts properly Driver side front fender I did not see a single ding in any of the trim Wide white walls are P215X75X14 Coker Classics with spinner hub caps Side glass is aligned right - all glass is good This car has lots of trim and all of it is like new Impala crossed flag trim and side scoop trim Solid and never rusted Impala triple taillights - the backup lights come on when the car is in reverse Note roof trim and clean package tray Deck lid One piece bumper and driver side taillights 6 taillights Passenger side taillights and dual exhaust Note reflections Sharp car Smooth, deep and glossy paint Passenger side glass - door handles have trim to protect paint This car is a real beauty Lots of polished trim to accent the Rio Red - first year for the Impala Rocker trim If you are seriously interested in this car my advice is to come and see it. The car is located in New Kent County, Virginia 23141. Car is a short drive from I-295 which connects to I-64 and I-95. Serious bidders can email me any questions or set up a time to view the car.
