Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1970 Torino Cobra it is a N- code (project)car (that means it originally was a 429 thunderjet engine) with 4 spd. It will need a complete restoration, or just fix it up enough to drive. I do not have the engine or transmission, the car still has the 9 inch rear end, bucket seats and Cobra emblems on the door panels and dash. This is the only hood I have for it and the grill may not be original so you may have to find some original pieces or maybe you have some hanging in your rafters just waiting for a project like this. It has typical Midwest rust issues, in the lower body, floor and rear frame rails, and some in the trunk jamb area, (I do have a very rusty parts car shell that has some good parts on it that I will be offering to the buyer first, before selling or cutting up) There are no signs of any collision damage some some dings and dents. When I got the car it had a 351 and automatic in it that is why you see the B&M shifter and aftermarket tack & gauges. Study the pictures and bid accordingly. I have a clear Nebraska title and set of keys, the car rolls fine and we will help load on to your trailer. I would love to keep this rare car and restore it sometime using my new rotisserie the Roller Hoop (which makes restoration work fun and enjoyable while at the same time makes you much more efficient and thorough with the task at hand) but I have too many projects and I’m losing my storage so this Cobra has to GO! Call if you have any questions 402-474-2344. On Sep-17-12 at 10:46:11 PDT, seller added the following information: I realized I forgot to mention that the car still has the hood pin lock plates on the rad support, all so noticed under the battery apron it is a little rusty I'll try to post picturesOn Sep-17-12 at 20:48:50 PDT, seller added the following information: The cut out on the floor is the factory shifter, cover in case you were wondering, I also noticed a little rust through area above the left rear tailight in the trunk jamb, the parts car I have is very good in this area, so a section of that will go with the car. I will also offer to the buyer our metal restoration service as well. We are a professional restoration shop and we do proper, outstanding metal work! by cutting and trim out the rusty metal first and then send out for media blasting to clean up all metal then we can start in on metal work with proper procedures and techniques. if interested see some of our work on the "Hub Garage" and search (AutoKraft Nebraska Garage) you'll get an Idea of what we do, or seach Reversion Mustang that's one that will floor you!
