I have found a lost K code Mustang. It is in need of total restoration. It was parked under a tree for 25 years. The originonal drive train is missing, some where along the line it was all taken out and a 1970 302 was put in with a Borg Warner T-10 and a 8inch rear end. I replaced the fuel tank and points and the car started up. I have also replaced to clutch/pressure plate/bearing to make it drivable again. Then I had the front end rebuilt and new tires put on it. The car is 1 of 323 left of the original 7,231 produced according to the K code registry. Bulid date was December 19, 1964. In San Jose, CA and Shipped to Seattle WA. I have thought about resto moding it, since the hipo parts are missing. But, with so few of these left, I hate doing that. So, I am listing her here, to see if anyone wants to restore her to her former glory! I am not looking to dump the car, just looking for someone who can take better care of it than I can. I have put some after market parts on it to get it running/drivable. I have kept every screw/bolt/part I have taken off. I have picked up date code correct used parts for the grill / headlight parts that were mising. parts are currently not on the car. The bolts that hold the front bumper on are cut off in the frame, have been attempting to drill them out. The passenger side frame rail has been damaged and needs to be replaced, I welded it for a patch for now. It has WA state 1965 plates on it. If sold in WA, I will sell the plates as well, if out of states sale I will keep the plates. The carpet was destored, so I have removed it. It has the front and back seats. The floors are rotted out. The front windshield has been shot. Every body part is rusted or bent. Most of the chrome is in OK condition, shines. I have bought many after market body parts, for the floor / fenders. That I can sell with the car if someone is interested. Car does run and drive, should probably be trailered home though. Selling car as is. $500 deposit please at end of auction. Remainder due when car is picked up, inform of cash or money order, no checks. Car does have a clear WA title.
