Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 68 fastback Mustang it is a C code automatic car that has been partially disassembled years ago, looks as thought most all parts are there in boxes and in the trunk, It would be a great candidate for a Shelby clone, an Elenore tribute, or better yet a Built build or just your own custom lots of potential here! It has typical midwest rust issues in the lower body. Study the pictures, you will see the rear frame rails are swelled up in the rear shackle mount areas but good every where else. The front torque boxes are in bad shape and the floor supports are soft in the rear ( I have some others trimmed from another Mustang I'm throwing in.) It will need right & left floor pans, the quarters have rust around the wheel opening and lower areas, figure skins and outer wheel-houses, the rear taillamp panel and upper deck lid surround is all very good solid condition. The roof panel is nice no damage there maybe a ding or two. The fenders are rusty and will need replaced We are a Dynacorn Dealer and can provide all the parts the car will need at a good price. The hood has the turn lamps in it and is in great condition with no rust in the frame work, does have hood pin holes though. The cowl panel looks nice, and the dash is good. The 302 is setting on a tire and I don't know it's condition but it has a ford 4bbl intake and Carb and long tube headers so that's a plus! it has a c-4 trans as well, The front and rear valance are a bit rough but the ATF ones fit pretty good and are affordable. The haedlamp buckets are decent with a few typical cracks in the valance mounting tabs a piece of sheetmetal and JB weld fixes that . The rear glass is good, front windshield is cracked, door glass is good and the vent window frames & chrome are pretty nice as well. The front substructure (frame rails aprons) are in good solid condition, no signs of collision damage. left rear rocker appears to have had some damage and is a little rusty on the top inside the qrt area, doors are good and solid on the inner corners and the bottom seams are pretty tight, some rust showing through the lower frt corner of the skins. The decklid has a little rust in the lower corner (ez repair) You see in the right door jamb I'm pointing out how solid the lower jamb area is just some surface crud also note that the quarter panel flange in the jamb is good and tight no rust here!good looking factory spot welds, So even if you replace the quarter skins it is very important that you leave this undisturbed! Simply cut the panel right on the edge and carefully burn in the replacement one right on the edge, take your time and dress down the welds shape the edge nice and clean and keep that that very important factory seam with the spot welds! that is the first thing guys like me look at to see if the quarter was replaced for what ever reason plus it will help the cars resale price! The seats are off white and the frt ones are torn up but the rear is ok and might clean up or you can dye it your color of choice the fiberglass panels and the trim is in very good condition! better than most that we restore. It has the fold-down fastback seat, and the parts all seem to be there, it has a factory tilt-a-way steering column but not sure if it was original to the car there is no switch in the door jamb? also has the 68 GT style rims, the tires are shot but will hold air for a while. These cars are very easy to rebuild properly if you have the desire, tools, some guidance, willingness and some skills, but if you don't have the desire to do the metal work or don't have anybody to help out or ? then we can help. We are a restoration shop that specializes in Mustangs and other vintage cars, and performing the best in metal surgery! We developed a new rotisserie the Roller Hoop to aid us in our quest for proper metal restoration, and to be more efficient with out time and less stress to the car. The winning bidder will have the opportunity to buy one of our Roller Hoops with Jigs for this Mustang at a discount price and or have us do the metal restoration on this great classic and get it ready for their paint guy. You will see in the last few pictures the Roller hoop in action on some other Mustangs that we have restored, it work great! Call with any questions it is also for sale locally as well so we reserve the right to end the auction if needed. 402-474-2344.
