What? No Freekin Reserve!!!! If your looking for a clean, well build roadster, but didn't want to shell out big bucks for one.... Look no further, this is it. Although the word "Rat Rod" is listed in the title, it is only used to broaden the viewer base of this auction, as there is NOTHING "ratty" about this old school hot rod. So here is the story. I own a Collision Center and build Hot Rods/Rat Rods on the side. This is one of many that we have built at my shop. This is professionally built, not put together in the back yard. This car is solid. you can drive it any where. I started on this with a 1926 Buick / Willys Knight, I cant tell the difference from what I could find on line. I went with a Buick because I am a GM guy. I designed and cut out custom rails front and rear fully boxed in 1/4 inch plate. this thing is strong! With a way cool kick up in the rear(16 inches). I purchased a bunch of new parts from speedway motors and custom built this car from the ground up. Strict attention was payed to all details such as squaring the frame on a frame rack before welding and proper attachment and placement of all lines and wires. Not taped together shade tree crap. I have nearly 300 hours on this build and thousands in new parts. This car has a new radiator and electric fan and even on a hot day idling in the July 4th parade, or just driving down the hwy, it won't crack 190 degrees. The car is quick and stops excellent, corners like its on rails, and is incredible to drive. The motor is a 350 SBC with a quadrajet carb, from a mid 70s RV with low miles (About 45k) and a TH 350 Trans. Rear is a 10 bolt from an s-10. Bolt pattern is ford 5 on 4.5 with the classic Keystone rims. I have been to three car shows and have 5 trophies to show for it. This thing gets noticed where ever it goes. I am 5 ft 10 in and fit very comfortably. If you are up to 6'3" you should be good. I took it to some friends (Bitchen Stitchen) for the interior and they did a great job matching in the black and orange theme, and I added an antiqued Rock Star Energy drink logo star to the outside, as it took several cases to build also. Also this car sits at 3.5 inches from the ground and the motor and trans were set in at 1.75 inches from the bottom of the low point on the frame. I have a clear UTAH title in hand. The car is registered in UT as an antique Vehicle. Fuel cell is a Fisher Brewing Company, Salt Lake City, UT beer keg, and holds, i think 12 gal. I have driven this car on a daily basis for 4 months and it handles great. Go anywhere!!!(weather permitting) The car weighs 1900 lbs with no fuel, so you can imagine how fun it is to drive. Here is a list of parts. New: interior, Carpet and Custom seats and side panels steering column and wheel, speedway quick disconnect. steering u-joint. Reversed Corvair steering box. alternator battery drive line and u joints head and tail lights master cylinder breaks break lines radiator hoses trans cooler in rad. and new lines to there electric fan electric fuel pump fuel lines suspension speedway front end with disc breaks electronic ignition, cap, rotor, coil, wires, plugs new air cleaner wheels and tires, other than my driving. custom chassis.. speedway wiring harness speedway break petal assembly gauges fuel and oil filters new antique paint new glass, Tilt out windshield, ya, cool! new lake headers (kit from speedway) custom flair outs to direct exhaust from cab. Needs a Choke hooked up, I have a second carb that is included. Its a little Hard to start until it warms up.
