PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD ~ Up for sale is my First Generation ,1988 Toyota 4Runner, 2 Door, Removable Top, SR5, 4X4. ODOMETER READS 189.988. According to the trim plate, the truck was manufactured November 1987. The truck has spent its entire life in Texas. Originally purchased in Longview, Texas and now resides in Houston, Texas where I live. I have owned the truck since January 2012. I purchased the truck inoperable with a bad head gasket. The trucks condition was in such great shape I could not pass it up. The PAINT and body STICKERS where ORIGINAL and in unbelievable condition with no signs of fading. With the truck being in Texas its entire life there is "NO RUST" whatsoever. The INTERIOR was in very good condition as well. The passenger seat and rear seating looks as though it was hardly used. The drivers seat left bolster has a small tear. This truck is equiped with the Toyota 3.0 Litre V6 and paired with the original 5 Speed Manual Transmission, original 4X4 Transfer Case and the Toyota 411. Rear Differential. NOTE: After purchasing the truck, I immediately had the truck towed to Metro Engines/Texon Motors in Houston, Texas. The ENGINE was pulled and COMPLETELY REBUILT. The truck comes with a 3/36 mile warranty from Metro/Texon as long as oil changes are documented. The engine has approximately 750 MILES since the rebuild. The cost of this rebuild service was right at $3,500.00. The rebuild included the block bored, honed, and decked. The heads rebuilt and valve guide seats replaced. A new oil pump, all new gaskets, IN ADDITION to the rebuld the truck has NEW NOT REBUILT Beck Arnley Injectors, NEW Nippondenso Wires, NEW Bosch Cap and Rotor, NEW Flywheel, NEW Sachs CLUTCH, Pressure Plate, Throw Out Bearing, NEW Nippondenso Starter, New Nippondenso Alternator, NEW Beck Arnley Water Pump, NEW Bosch Battery, RECORED original Radiator (Comes with a new Plastic/Aluminum Radiator), NEW Fuel Tank, NEW Fuel Sending Unit, NEW Fuel Pump, NEW Fuel Line, NEW Belts and Several New Hoses. In addition I have had the ORIGINAL WHEELS refinished back to NEW condition. The tires are in good condition ALL TERRAIN with 85-90% tread. The truck will come with a full set of RANCHO RS9000 Shock Absorbers. I have right at $9,000 in the purchase and rebuild of this truck. The truck is being sold AS IS and no warranty through the seller. As mentioned, the motor does carry a full 3/36 mile warranty through METRO/TEXON MOTORS. Currently the title is a CLEAR/SIGNED/UNDATED/OPEN TEXAS TITLE. It come with a bill of sale and title transfer confirming the purchase. After the purchase, a $500 deposit is required immediately.
