On Sep-03-12 at 16:18:37 PDT, seller added the following information: Somewhat of a project for the buyer. Had this BMW for my two teenage sons who are now gone. It has been sitting idle for two years, but ran to school and back plus teenage activities for 5 previous years. When the car was parked there were a few non-functioning items and they include: 1) The blower motor for the heater gave up after several years in Michigan (There is an air conditioning blower motor still in the car but not used) there is internet postings on how to switch them 2) Brake master cylinder had a leek and would not hold the brake fluid - needed new thus there are no brakes 3) When we bought the car in 2006 we were the third owner and the odometer was not working at about 87,000 miles ( it appeared as though it was serviced about three months earlier). MILEAGE IS AN ESTIMATE 4) Air conditioner was removed when we purchased (condenser and pump) plumbing is somewhat there The INTERIOR is fantastic and in great shape for and '82 bimmer. I have a second set of rims that we had snow tire on and is included with the sale. We did all the maintenance when it was running to keep it safe on the road .. engine parts, rebuilt radiator, K&N air filter, tune -ups along with tie rods, muffler, brakes , all the thing that you need to do when an older car is on the road. It has been sitting for two years and I am listing this as a "project car" as I don't know the extent of what you will need to do. Michigan weather has gotten to it and the rust spots in the pics have grown a bit and will need work if you so choose. The car is not derivable it has been sitting for two years. We did start it up and had it running labor day weekend but it was a bit rough running.
