1999 FORD F-150 XLT *** ENGINE IS LOCKED UP *** - - - - - - - - - - There are a LOT of photos, please let them load!! - - - - - - - - - - This is a one owner truck that I bought new in 1999 and driven daily. Driving home from work recently the engine shuddered, knocked twice and locked up. I don’t have time to replace/rebuild the engine so I’m selling it as is. The mileage listed is approximate but very close. The odometer blacks out sometimes so you can’t read it, but it is still counting the mileage. The good… The truck has never been wrecked and been serviced regularly. All of the options and equipment work fine. The 4x4 and drivetrain are solid. The majority of the body is in great shape with no rust (roof, fenders, hood) and the gas tank straps have already been replaced. The exterior bumpers, trim, grille, headlights, taillights are in terrific shape. The interior is in great shape and all interior options work perfectly. The factory tonneau cover is included in the auction and has no nicks or tears. Even if parted out there is well over $3000 worth of excellent parts on this truck. The bad… The rocker panels on both sides are rusted (I was going to redo them this winter, but not going to mess with it now) and there is a little bit of rust on the lower 1” of the doors. The power door locks are a bit sticky and the odometer blacks out. The odometer is working and correct when it lights up, but can’t be read when it doesn’t light up. The running boards are in rough shape. They are still solid but are missing trim caps and have surface rust. The mileage is approximate, but is close (within a few thousand miles I think) THE ENGINE IS LOCKED UP AND THE TRUCK DOES NOT RUN. The engine will need to be rebuilt or replaced by the winning bidder after purchase. PAYMENT TERMS $250 non-refundable deposit is due within 3 days by PayPal. Balance due in cash when truck is picked up. Winning bid is a contract and the deposit will not be refunded. No checks or trades. Truck is for sale locally and auction will end early if local buyer arrives with cash during auction posting. SHIPPING No shipping. Make no mistake; this truck will have to be towed or hauled away. It does roll easily in neutral, but does not run and is too big for most tow dollies. Best bet is to bring a wrecker or flatbed. It might fit on a 24’ trailer but it does weigh more than 5000lbs. I can help load at time of pickup, but can’t provide any type of transport. Truck must be picked up within 2 weeks of auction end.
