Vehicle Detail
Our customer's loss can be your gain. High dollar project started by nationally known shop and stopped. Selling for our customer. There is more invested with buying the car and parts than we are asking in the buy it now price. The shop has won many awards including the GM Design award, Chrysler Design award, top 5 street machine of the year three times, top five custom rod of the year twice, Top Ford awards, and list goes on. This professional started custom car can purchased as is or can be completed by the shop for alot less money than if you started from scratch. Have you always wanted to win awards? Have you wanted to have a car that people know and talk about? This is your chance. The hardwork has been done. 1955 Ford Sunliner Convertible Custom Project 5.4 32 Valve Supercharged Shelby Motor and Tremec six speed transmission. Motor, Tranny and radiator cost $18,000 to acquire. The body has been blasted, all metal work has been completed, & the body has had the first stage of body work completed on it. The gaps look real nice on the body. It just needs to be blocked sanded and primed a few more times then it will be ready for paint. The frame & the bottom of the car need to completed in whatever finish you decide. The bottom of the body was blasted and sealed. The frame still needs to be blasted and detailed however, we have installed a Fat Man independent Front suspension kit on it with power rack and pinion steering. It has been welded into the frame. You are looking at about $5K worth of front suspension with the installation. The rear suspension is stock with lowering blocks but we added a Ford Nine Inch rear end. The motor is a complete 5.4 32 Valve motor directly out of a Shelby mustang & the radiator is also directly out of the Shelby as well. We added a Tremec six speed transmission and installed a Kugel Clutch & Brake set-up under the dash because the power brakes would not fit on the firewall with that massive Shelby supercharged engine. This setup is about $1000 without the installation. We installed small billet fill cans for the brakes and clutch setup as pictured on the top of the cowl area. They are easy to get to. We used a Vintage Air mock up box so that the a/c is mocked up under the dash as well. Really the only thing not fabricated up is a steering column and steering components. The rack is there, you need everything else. We have fabricated a panel that will hold two Autometer gauges, this takes the place of the stock speedometer-you can see it in the pictures. We have fabricated the center console and dash for the a/c vents as well. The emergency brake handle has been fabricated and installed right next to the console. Again, the hard fabrication has been completed. The top frame has been blasted and installed back on the car. We have the bows as well but did not install them on the car. We have the majority of all of the trim with the exception of no bumpers or bumper brackets. We have installed some of the side trim just so you get the idea of what it looks like and it fits with the bodywork that has been completed. The trim is all original trim and needs to be straightened and polished. It is not ready to be final installed on the car y We planned to put a set of late model bucket seats for the front but we do have the orignal back seat for the back of the car. You will need all new interior panels for this car. We do have the four original window regulators but you will need new side glass as the glass is old and not in the best of shape. My shop is ready to complete the car should the new owner like to have the car completed or can take delivery as is. We are selling for one of our clients. Again, their loss can be your gain. The car is being sold as is where is. There is more invested in parts and the car than the buy it now price. The new owner is responsible for all shipping costs. Please feel free to call me at 813-789-6179 with any questions. I reserve the right to end this auction as I have the car for sale locally as well.
