DESCRIPTION: This 1986 BMW 3-Series 325es 2 door sedan is the kind of car that we really like to sell. When we took this gleaming red car out to do the photographs it was hard to imagine that we were driving a car that is 25 years old! The mileage confirms that the car has been driven an average of less than 6000 miles a year since it was manufactured and it has never had any rust or body damage. Because of its age this car can be insured as a collector car and if you reside in New York it is no longer required to pass the emissions testing, even though it can.These cars are seldom found in the splendid condition that this one is in. Everything on the car is in perfect working condition including the helpful computerized information center which would be a welcome feature on most vehicles. It provides useful data such as the date, time, remaining fuel, average fuel consumption, stop-watch, ambient temperature, fuel range and average speed among others. This car also passed New York States rigid Motor Vehicle safety inspection. The interior of the car is really tidy and only one small one inch crack was evident in an otherwise flawless original interior. The front and rear seats are covered in rich thick black leather and the Recaro front seats have an almost endless range of adjustments to make driving this car that much more comfortable. The sunroof can either be opened fully, or lifted at the rear only, for some pleasant ventilation. The side windows are electric and the car also has a central locking system. Other features include but are not limited to: fog lights, full size spare tire and tool kit, cruise control, intermittent wipers with washers, rear window defroster and electric door mirrors and electric radio antenna. This BMW 325es has power assisted disc brakes on all 4 wheels as well as power assisted steering. The shock absorbers and the exhaust system were recently replaced making the car feel taut and running factory quiet. The engine is flawless with the cylinder head being recently removed to correct an oil leak and a complete valve job was performed while it was off. At the same time the water pump and all the belts and hoses were replaced. The clutch operates flawlessly and the transmission shifts easily with no problems noticed at all. Careful examination revealed a couple of minor issues such as some flea bites in an otherwise flawless paint finish, one small ding in the lower half of the front bumper and an A/C system that bleeds freon slowly.
