Vehicle Detail
I'm selling a 2002 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro. I've had this car for about 5 years now but purchased another car 2 years ago and have been driving that as my daily driver. I just have to get rid of this one because i don't use it and it could use a little work. The vehicle was only driven about 15,000 miles in the last 2 years. All Wheel Drive is great in the snow and hugs the road when its dry. Car has a coolant leak that i can't figure out. I'm no mechanic by any means though. I've already replaced most of the common problems that go with this car and just don't have anymore time. If you know your way around a car this may be a way to get yourself a great car. Car runs and drives around the driveway with no problems, just has the leak that needs to be fixed. * 158,278 miles * Leather * All Wheel Drive * Heated Front and Rear seats * Automatic w/ tiptronic and shift buttons on steering wheel * 6 Disc In-Dash CD Changer * 1.8L Turbo * Front and Rear Fog Lights * Tinted 20% * Rear Lip Spoiler * Automatic Dual Climate Control I used this car for my job for a couple of years which is why the mileage is higher but don't let that fool you. I purchased the car with 68,000 miles on it and it currently has 158,278 miles on it. They are mostly highway miles because I could travel up to 300 miles per day. The head was replaced at 42,000 miles as it was part of the batch that go bad and were replaced under warranty by Audi. Whats been replaced in the past 2 years? Battery (about 24 months ago) Coil Packs (About 20 months ago) Oil Pick up tube (About 18 months ago) These always go bad in this engine because of the design of the part. Inexpensive part but a ton of labor. Thousands at the dealer Turbo (About 18 months ago) Figured because the engine was being starved of oil because of the oil pick up tube the turbo was too. It was going bad so it was replaced Oxygen Sensor (11 months ago) Mass Air Flow Sensor (11 months ago) Spark plugs (11 months ago) Air Filter (11 months ago) Thermostat (Within a month ago) Another job that required hours of digging around the engine Breather elbow (Within a month ago) Saw this when doing the thermostat. Did some research and found that these are very common and go bad all of the time A few small notices: The Drivers side front window is not working. Very easy fix but i haven't put much into this because it is so small. Either a window motor or switch. Both fairly inexpensive and easy to do. Buttons are peeling. Again, another common problem for these vehicles. Buttons such as window switches and radio buttons. Heat isn't working. Heater core needs to be flushed I have a water pump to install but just don't have the time anymore to keep digging into it and would just like to let it go for someone that knows more about cars and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. Priced to sell and would be a steal for the right person that knows about this kind of thing. Unfortunately, I'm not that guy.On Sep-03-12 at 09:56:32 PDT, seller added the following information:I've been getting some questions about this so i should put it here. The car is able to start and drive around the driveway. The coolant leak will need to be fixed before driving it any distance.
