This is a Ford 1929 Model A Special Coupe. The reason it was called "Special Coupe" was because the steel top was partially covered by artificial leather from the belt line up - this covered the metal underneath. Comments about the car. ---Title - has a clear Minnesota title ---External Body Sheet Metal -- it is a very solid car. There has been some patching on the metal, but the welding is excellent - it is hard to see and can be hidden completely with metal finishing material. But there are some small dents in the body. ---Body above the beltline-- this is metal covered with artificial leather (which is no longer present). The back window section has two versions (both pictured). One has some of the original pieces which may or may not be complete ( I don't know). The second is a rear window section cut out of a regular coupe which could be fitted into this area. ---Body wood - completely gone but is available from vendors. ---Internal sheet metal -- under seat pan is present and looks decent and useable. Trunk bottom pan is dented, has some holes and also looks useable. ---Doors-- are both nice and solid. One is dented, and the drivers door does not latch closed. ---Fenders - Rear fenders are nice and don't have the usual bead breaks and weld - solid. ---Fenders - Front fenders are solid, some dents, bead breaks but weld was decent -I think they are useable.. ---Hood - dented but solid. ---Windshield frame - present, looks useable. ---Gas tank - present, looks useable, but top filler hole has bend in it. ---Rear Deck lid - nice, not rusted out, very useable. ---Running board aprons - look solid, useable ---Interior -- wood is gone, no trim, no window or door handles, no dash. ---Dash rail - a good one is included but is not pictureds. ---Extra rim and rear mount - included but not pictured. ---windshield wiper - none present ---Headlights, radiator shell - present but need replating. ---Motor - present but stuck. The head has weld on it, but an additional one is furnished. ---Generator - missing ---Tires -- none, but all rims are present. Model A coupes are very desireable cars and they are fun. This one could be restored or possibly the roof could be taken off and it made into a Roadster, but this would take considerable body sheet metal ability. A VERY DESIRABLE, FUN CAR WHEN RESTORED. PRICED BELOW WHAT IT IS WORTH.
