Vehicle Detail
I am putting up my 88 300CE for sale. I have done many many upgrades and repairs and it s currently running great. It is about to turn over 160k miles and was my daily driver until I bought a newer vehicle for those duties. This is a very nice driving car. Very tight, smooth and quiet. Inspected through the end of 2012. I drove this car From PA to Miami and back 3 months ago. No problems. I am willing to deliver this car a couple hundred miles away for the cost of gas and tolls. This car has all the things you would imagine such as power windows, seats, mirror, locks, cd player, sunroof, heated seats, etc. Everything works on the car as well. This is a short list of modifications and repairs that have been performed on the vehicle to give you an idea of the condition of the car. Bilstein HDs all around new front strut tops CLK lightweight wheels Bosch cap and rotor, wires and backing plate Correct non resistor plugs Keyless entry and remote start although remote start portion is not hooked up 94-95 taillights 91 coupe rear fill panel hella euro front corner lights newer tierods and drag link 4 wheel alignment 2 months ago new muffler and pipe new injectors w210 steering wheel SLK shifter knob and shifter base Rebuilt top end with new cam, rockers, seals, guides and head gasket. New water pump 140 amp alternator upgrade DEPO headlights new pads and slotted rotors all around all new radiator hoses including those that go to/from the heater core newer radiator nissen new overflow tank new belts new front oil seal new oil pressure sensor new exhaust manifold studs new air bypass hoses new bosch idle control valve new fuel pump relay new condenser and dryer and the car has been converted to 134a although I had the system filled 3 months ago and it must have a leak as the system is empty again flushed and refilled trans, power steering, rear diff, brake fluid, etc. replaced rear diff bushings. HD drivers side engine mount with new motor mounts Audio: JVC flip face cd player Blaupunkt component front speaker set Orion 4 channel amp and 10" Blau sub in sealed box. Here are the only things that I can think of that I would like to make any new owner aware of: The sunroof sometimes sticks when trying to tilt it up. I sometimes have to just push up with my finger to get it to pop up. Closing and sliding forward and backward work as they should. Heated seats work fine. The tires will need to be replaced within the year. Still should pass inspection right now but good to keep in mind. There is one ding/crease in the pass rear fender that is hard to see in pictures but must have been someone opening a back door in a parking lot. It was already there when I bought the car. Front airdam has a crack down by the tow hook area. Not sure if this happened when the car was towed at one point but it was like that when I bought it. Front air dams are cheap but never got around to fixing it. I just put a piece of tape over it to keep it from cracking any further. If you look at the pic of the front of the car it is on the passenger side about 2 inchs from the bottom of the air dam. The rear electric antenna is straight and goes all the way down but only goes about 3/4 of the way up. Seems to get stations fine and sounds way better than stock with the aftermarket stereo equipment. Front windshield could use a reseal at the top right corner. Whomever replaced the windshield at some point in the past used insufficient caulking around the perimeter and it heavy rain you will get a drop or two that comes down the inside of the passenger side of the car. If I didnt tell you about this you probably wouldnt have noticed for a couple months but I thought I would tell you anyway. A windshield repair place could prob apply some more sealant around the top band in a couple minutes and fix the problem but I never got around to it. The rear window in coupes seem to have a problem with delamination and this coupe is no different. You can tell by the slight whitening of the glass on the very left and right. This doesnt really effect anything other than the glass looking milky at the very ends. The area around the passenger side seat belt has the leather starting to fray back from sun exposure but again the car is 24 years old. I cant really think of anything else. Car is inspected through december 31st and ready to drive. Let me know if you have any questions.
