All original 280ZX, non-turbo. Its a GL model, power everything, very clean, just turned 110,000 miles. Daily driver. This ZCar is a true survivor, has been a daily driver and well maintained. Car is 100% original. A few scuffs here and there, but all original paint, which is a good thing so there is no rust hiding under any bondo. Pea sized spot on corrosion on rear quarter panel next to quarter window, very minor bubble. New brakes, slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder, Brand new Firestone tires with less than 500 miles on them. ZX Alloy wheels are in great shape and ride like new. No oil burn or drips, great oil pressure. Interior is in excellent condition, dash is mint, no cracks or blemishes. Seats are very clean with no rips or stains. A/C is currently not blowing cold, but just installed new A/C compressor, receiver dryer, all thats needed to get A/C working is a new expansion valve and all ready to go for R134. Exterior-8 Interior-9 Car is rust free, other than the pea sized spot near rear window and very minor surface area on hood size of a BB, there are no perforations, rocker panels are rust free, underside of car is very clean. What it needs:Cruise control turns on but does not hold speed.Driver side floor mat.Expansion valve for A/C. If you look at the ZX competition, all other cars in "this" cars realm are close to, or more than double the cost. Don't let the few things this car lacks keep you from a super nice ZX, and an 83 280ZX is more desirable than any other year ZX. Original paint, you cant beat that, even though there are some flaws, there is nothing to hide on this car. The main reason the ZX is becoming an extinct animal, is because of rust. Most ZX's that have been repainted are hiding alot of bondo, this car is filler free. Zero cracks in dash. Not many Z's can say that. Over 20 years experience with Datsun's, from 240Z's through ZX, this is one of the most cleanest original Z's I have had the pleasure of owning. I have put the last 30,000 miles on this particular Z, and it wont let you down. A/C went out last month, thought it was compressor, after changing it and reciever/drier, found expansion valve not working. Currently do not have time to change, but if your handy with tools, you can change it for less than $50.00. During the process of A/C compressor change, I converted to R134.
