Up for auction is this 1957 Ford Four Door Fairlane 500 THIS IS NOT A HARD TOP CAR BUT LOOKS LIKE A HARD TOP BECAUSE OF THE CHROME ON THE WINDOWS.. This is the top of the Ford line car. Longer and wider than previous years. The water cooled automatic transmission is included. I will remove the transmission and engine from the car. The engine is not included. The car has 15 inch tires and rims. The car came with 14 inch rims but I replaced them with these 15 inch rims and tires. The Spinner Hub Caps are included with the other parts that I have removed from the car and they are for the 14 inch Ford rims. Several parts were removed but they are included in this auction. The gas tank had one small hole in the gas tank. I think that the gas tank can be repaired. I found the gas tank sending unit that is not in the pictures but the gas tank sending unit is included. The frame of the car is in bad shape and the roof is damaged from a tree but there is a lot of classic Ford parts including the original radio, gauges, clock. dash board, both front and back seats with the distinctive Ford Crest on a field of polished chrome to separate the middle of the back seats, steering wheel and steering wheel gear box, break pedal, leaf springs, emergency brake hardware and parts, etc. I painted the drive shaft after I removed the drive shaft from the car. The drive shaft have both u joints and yolk. I removed and painted the complete steering assembly inner and outer tire rod ends, and drag link. Both front and back bumpers with brackets bolts are attached to the car with front grill. All chrome that is pictured is included and some of the chrome looks like some chrome may belong to another car. Anyway, you get all of the chrome that is pictured on and off the car. The winner wins the whole car with all parts that are shown in the pictures. The radiator is not shown but the radiator is in bad shape but included. The winner can Recore the radiator with the original copper top and original copper bottom parts with water cooled lines in the original radiator that will be better than a new radiator after being recored from a radiator shop. The 1957 Ford is the first year with the 9 inch rear end that should be in good used condition and very desirable. Lots of rust but a good parts car. This will make a great parts donor car. Nice Chrome! I bought three (3) cars two 1956 Ford's and this 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 4 door with lots of nice wide chrome. Both 56's had titles this car did not have a title.
