Vehicle Detail

1978 Dodge D200 (1 ton) club cab 2 wheel drive truck for sale located in Portland, Oregon. 73,000 original miles. 400 big block engine with 727 automatic transmission and dana rear end with factory 4:10 gears and factory a/c. The mileage is accurate as this truck was used to haul a camper and sat for most of the year. Tons of new parts including alternator, all fluids, electronic fuel pump, NOS gauge cluster circuit board and gauges, upper control arm bushings and ball joints, battery, spark plugs and wires, cap and rotor, pcv valve, all engine belts, alternator, new brake lines and brake booster and master cylinder, all driveline u joints and center bearing and many more. Truck consistently shows 60psi or more on oil pressure gauge when driving. Engine in the truck has never been apart and has some slight oil leaks from engine but still much less than most other vehicles of this age and has like new oil pressure and does not burn oil. New kyb gas-a-just shocks on all 4 corners. Replaced wheels and tires with newer updated wheels and 10 ply tires. Truck has new HD cd player and magnaflow muffler and new exhaust piping. The truck recently developed an exhaust leak sound which I believe to be the drivers side manifold gasket? I just have not had the time to investigate to figure out for certain. The truck also had a electronic fuel pump installed before I purchased and I have since installed a new electronic fuel pump! The interior in the truck is in very good shape! The carpet was stained when I got the truck so I removed it and threw it away. I then painted the front portion of the floors with POR-15 which is a super tough rust killing paint! The floor only had surface rust and was cleaned up before being painted. The passenger side of the floor had a rust spot but it was cut out and replaced with a factory appearing floor pan patch portion. You would not notice it was repaired unless it was pointed out to you. You will see in the pictures that I took pictures of the rear cab mounts and the rocker panels where these truck always rust and this truck still has nice shiny factory paint in place. The dash has no cracks and is all complete! All the electronics and gauges work except for the cruise control. All dash lights/ cigarette lighter/interior dome lights work! No wiring issues here! Paint is almost all original. I did touch up the roof and the top of the hood when I purchased the truck but no one has ever noticed it unless I specifically show them the original vs. touched up color. The body is super straight and only has one tiny little blemish on the drivers side door. Almost all the damage is on the trim itself. Truck has tow hitch and receiver with wiring hooked up. This truck runs great and has no rust! The a/c currently does not blow very cold as it has a leaking a/c condenser. Needs nothing to be a great work or play truck. This truck is one of the most solid original examples of this body style I have ever seen. I don't want to get rid of it but can't afford to keep 2 trucks. This truck would be great for someone looking to swap it's body onto a 4wd chassis or looking for hard to find parts for a power wagon restoration. Shipping is buyers responsibility and I can store truck for 3 weeks until picked up! This is a link to my pictures of the truck: http://s130.photobucket.com/albums/p262/beng9104/1978%20Dodge%201%20ton%202wd/On Aug-24-12 at 08:54:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I also forgot to mention that the truck was just ran through DEQ here in Oregon and passed with flying colors! Also thought that I should mention that an interested buyer mentioned to me that the truck is a D200 and is most likely a 3/4 ton not a 1 ton as a 1 ton would be a D300. I was told by the 2nd owner that owned it since 1983 that the truck was a 1 ton. I looked at the GVW sticker and it's weight is very close to a 1 ton weight. I have nothing to hide with the truck so I though I thought I would post this for everyones consideration. Thanks!
