For sale is a nice driver quality '48 Plymouth Special Deluxe Coupe, flathead purrs, brakes and steers although there is some play, which I'm sure there's an adjustment for that. I noticed that the rear motor/tranny mounts were in need of replacement, so after replacing them, now that it sits as it should, the shifter is getting hung up, I don't know how to adjust the linkage to compensate so I am letting you know. Overall it's in good condition inside and out, there is some rust on the lower trunk lid lip and on the body below that, it's the usual place for these cars, other than that no rust that I can see, it's been a west coast car it's whole life, the previous owner was a retired elderly LA school teacher that has owned it since the early 70's and he bought it from a family friend that owned it since new. I have the pink slip in hand. I bought this car on an impulse buy, just because of how clean it is but I need to finish another project. Odometer reads 26040 Will sell to the highest bidder!! I have thousands of dollars in receipts for work done to the car, which includes, new ring and rod bearing with new gaskets on 9/7/2010 mileage was 25878, recent water pump, fuel pump, wires, hoses, distributor, new Optima 6v battery,brakes, tires are like new.
