1968 Ford Mustang Fastback 302 4V Automatic. Up for auction is a nice 1968 Mustang Fastback (J-code). The car has a 302 8 cylinder 4V engine (block# C9OE-6015-C date code 9J19), C4 Cruise-O-Matic transmission and a 8" 3.00 rear axle. The engine runs very strong and appears to be 100% stock. Both rear quarter panels and rear frame rails have been replaced. The fenders, doors, trunk lid have a few bubbles but are solid. The front floor pans and torque boxes have rust and need to be repaired. The inner fender aprons have been replaced and the shock towers are solid. The car has a very nice black standard interior with bucket seats and a center console. The rear seat is a fold down style with nice trim panels that have no speaker holes in them. The headliner has a tear and is the only interior piece that needs replaced. The bumpers, window trim, grille trim are all very nice. The door handles and tail light trim have some pits in the chrome. The tinted glass is very nice and the original except the windshield. The car also runs / drives well with power steering and good drum brakes. The chrome GT wheels are very nice and the tires have very little wear. The car also has a new battery, fuel tank, sending unit and fuel lines. This J-code fastback is an excellent vehicle for restoration that can be driven and enjoyed now. The VIN is stamped on the fender apron. I have the Marti report and a clean Michigan title for the car. Please do not hesitate to ask questions or for the additional pictures of the car.
