Up for auction is my 1998 Porsche Boxster. It is a strong running well optioned car with 161,320 miles. I have Receipts from a local Porsche Dealer for a Porsche factory engine replacement at 39,xxx miles. The car is in overall good shape mechanically, but has a few issues common to 14 year old daily drivers. Mechanical: First things first, the car does occasionally throw a CEL for Secondary Air Injection codes p1411 and p0410 which is for start up emissions. It does not affect the performance of the car. The engine runs great and pulls strong, with no issues or noises. The clutch grabs great and the transmission shifts smoothly. There are no synchro/grinding issues with the transmission. The car rides on the optional 17" wheels with Bridgestone Potenza re750's with plenty of life left. There is a center cap missing on the right rear wheel. Fresh front brake pads and ~200 miles on oil/filter change. The A/C blows very cold. Appearance: The car is Metallic Black with Optional Boxster Red Leather Interior. There are a couple of tears on the Driver's Side Bolster. All electronics function and the top is in good condition. It is a newer top with the updated cables, there is some hazing on the plastic back window but no rips or tears. Car has 5-12 Hail dents on the hood and 2-4 on the trunk. The fuel door is missing, there is a crack on the passenger side of the windshield, and a small dent right behind the drivers door. If you are looking for a show car to put away in your garage this is not your car.
