Vehicle Detail
This is a No Reserve auction. Highest bidder win's this rare classic van. As I must empty my warehouse/shop. Please see my other car's and item's at No Reserve Please tell a friend that might be interested. I bought this van from two brothers who are well know electricians in Burbank They retired and parked this van on there lot in 1980, always got ask if they would sell through the year's.They decided to sell it to me five years ago. At the time I was busy with my other projects so I sent it off to my friend at Modern Engine in Glendale to install a new engine and trans, clean the tanks, radiator, belts, hose's etc, etc ($3500 my cost). I never got around to restoring this van and used it to haul thing's around or go camping I did however buy certain part's I came across. My intention was to make it a unique surfer van with old style Corvette type exhaust pipes on the side's. (which are still available through J.C Whittney) Put some fat tires on the Indy mags, bubble top vent on top, shag carpet the entire cabin and ofcourse a long shifter with a schull knob. The first thing I did when I got it back from Modern Engine was to remove the shifter cut a hole on top of the transsmition linkage to fabricate the lever, I had temporarily put vise grips there (five years ago) still there (excellent theft deterant though). The body is pretty straight, only little bondo above rear fender (see pic). Driver side door latch is broken and needs to be welded when restoring (very common on these van's). Door was spray painted to cover graffiti. Seats and engine cover need to be reupholstered. The registration is due August 31st $105 I am including the hard to find bubble top vent, set of Indy Mag's with hardware and an extra back door with glass. The van only need's to restored cosmeticly. The drivetrain has less than 10,000 miles. Very reliable. Drive back home anywhere. The 302 engine has a slight performance cam. The van is a half ton shorty so it's light and has alot of power. Please ask any and all questions, please see my other items and tell a friend. As I must empty my shop. So there No Reserve. Highest bidder own's this rare classic. Thank you.
