1968 VW BUG TYPE I BODY car was restored from ground up. Body was submerged in acid to strip to bare metal. All new parts. Hood has come unlatched and damaged body, new piece has been welded in, needs finishing. (see Pics). Car has shaved door handles, and custom door panels, custom headliner, front seats have been recovered. New fenders (front and rear), one piece windows in doors, cal look seals, new running boards, new harness, windshield wiper motor, there are 2 rear deck lids (old and new). Pic’s show door not attached, they are in the back seat area of car so they could not get damaged during storage. PAN Pan is in excellent condition. New pan half’s, All new tie rods, ball joints, steering arms, gearbox, brake lines and hoses, master cylinder, new springs in axle tubes, shocks, ect, ect. Car has been lowered 3 inches. Has Centerline wheels and tires, without adapters they bolt right on. MOTOR Started with 1500cc case, now it is 1956cc. It has been redecked, line bored crank and cam journals, over 2 thousand in just machine work. 90.5mm pistons, new connecting rods, case has been cleared to accept crank, which is a full circle counter balanced 10/10 76mm stroke, eagle cam is 410 lift 280 duration, heads have been opened 2.02 valves in single port head. Has Webber progressive 2 barrel carb, Alt upgrade, new 009 distributor and new coil, new high volume fuel pump, new high volume oil pump, new push rods and tubes, oil cooler. Chromed out, painted doghouse. I am sure there is something I forgot, but you get the idea. All gas had been drained from car prior to storage. Motor turns freely and will start with gas added. TRANSAXLE Stock swing arm case. Has super diff installed with 4.11 gear. It has all new bearings and new case hardened gears with new synchros. New cv joints and boots, new chromemoly axles, quick throw shifter and chrommoly shift rod. OVERALL Car needs good loving home. Car has not even been driven 5000 miles since overhaul and damage occurred. Quite frankly, I am exhausted and lost interest in this car. I have let it sit now for a while and decided it is time to let it go. It has not been started for 2 or 3 years now, will need a tune up and probably have the brake drums cleaned out, maybe gas tank too, as well as body fixed. I have spent over 20 thousand dollars on this car and hate to see it sit. I do have a clear clean title, NOT a salvage title although, it has been lost.
